Mickey Coffler, MD, FACOG Dr. Mickey Coffler is a board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist, Obstetrician, and Gynecologist in the Greater San Diego and Orange County areas.

Dr. Mickey Coffler, M.D., FACOG, has always felt drawn to helping patients build their families. He was fascinated by this science because he found it both interesting and challenging. As an expert in one of the most advanced fields of gynecology, Dr. Coffler feels a great amount of satisfaction in helping his patients fulfill their dreams of a family. Dr. Coffler has studied extensively to become

an expert in his field. He completed his undergraduate program in Israel at the Israel Institute of Technology, Rappaport School of Medicine, followed by his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Case Western Reserve University (Metro Health) at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio, and also at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa, Israel. When Dr. Coffler completed those programs, he moved on to his fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the University of California San Diego, in La Jolla. He is board-certified in both Obstetrics and Gynecology.

We had the privilege of attending an insightful Journal Club presentation by Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Professor Emeritus in Urology at the Cleveland Clinic. He delivered an outstanding talk on the technical aspects and clinical limitations of S***m DNA Fragmentation testing in male infertility.

On Sunday, I had the pleasure of participating at the JWF (Jewish Women’s Foundation) Premier Event “Navigating Infertility in the Jewish Community” program at .

Infertility affects 1 in 5 people, yet it so often remains an isolating struggle. This moving panel brought together medical insight, Jewish values, and personal storytelling to discuss modern pathways to parenthood and breaking the stigma that too many face.

A highlight of the event was the opportunity to discuss personally with Elana Frank, Founder & CEO of the Jewish Fertility Foundation (), and Mindi Frankel, CEO of the Hebrew Free Loan of San Diego (). Together, we made a meaningful commitment to collaborate and find innovative ways to make treatments far more accessible and reduce the financial burdens for hopeful parents in our community. Individual efforts make a difference, but together, we truly change the world!

If there’s one myth I could bust today, it’s the idea that infertility is your fault. It’s a medical condition, plain and simple, not a result of your lifestyle or how much you worry. You don’t have to carry the weight of ‘relaxing’ your way into a pregnancy. Getting answers early isn’t a sign of defeat; it’s taking charge of your journey, and it truly makes a difference.
