Remedial BodyWork

Abdominal Detox Center guides the body’s innert healing mechanisms to release tension and improve vital nerve function from head to toe – through your gut. Jani, your therapist helps the body ‘reboot’ - balancing hormones, calming the central nervous system and releasing tension from the body's connective tissue (myofascial) network. Energizing the fascia and organs will ‘cue’ self-regulation; bringing the entire body back into balance, releasing pain and stress.

Tending to our fascia body is important in many ways 🩷

"Fascia and the interstitium are distinct but intimately connected components of the body’s continuous architectural framework, often collectively described as a single "fascial-interstitial system."

Fascia refers primarily to the structural, collagenous layers of connective tissue that envelop, separate, and support muscles, organs, and nerves, providing mechanical stability and force transmission. In contrast, the interstitium consists of the fluid-filled spaces within these tissues, supported by a lattice of proteins and filled with hyaluronan-rich fluid that facilitates transport and signaling.

Recent research, notably by Nicholas Theise and colleagues at NYU Langone, has demonstrated that these interstitial spaces are not isolated pockets but form a continuous, body-wide network. This continuity allows for the rapid movement of fluids, immune cells, and signaling molecules across organ boundaries, functioning as a systemic communication highway distinct from the blood and lymphatic vessels. Consequently, while fascia provides the structural scaffold, the interstitium provides the dynamic fluid medium, together creating a unified organ-like system responsible for mechanical support, immune surveillance, and physiological homeostasis."

Myofascial Release Soundbites

Today a client came in with neck pain.

While working with tension on her back, she noted that the toes on the opposite foot began "tingling and pulling". She also mentioned tension growing in her anterior pelvis area opposite side.

Once she turned over, I began work in her abdomen at the site she was experiencing pain then applied traction to her leg and toes. During, she had a memory come up from her pregnancy decades earlier. She remembered having severe pain in the exact area of today's tension during the entire pregnancy; she had to hold that pain because procedures were risky. She hadn't remembered that situation until today.

Today she felt that spot releasing all the way down her leg and out of her body.

Releases of this nature are possible because of my relationship with my clients. There is a deep trust and as we work together I encourage open communication so we can trace and clear injuries - together - both physical and emotional.

MFR and Medical Qi Gong combined are a powerhouse of healing 🙏🙏🙏

💜 Your Body Is Always Talking. Are You Listening?

One of the greatest gifts of John F. Barnes Myofascial Release is that it teaches us to slow down and truly listen to the body.

Pain is not always something to fight against. Often, it is communication.

Headaches, neck tension, jaw pain, digestive issues, anxiety, fatigue, and chronic discomfort may be your body’s way of saying:

✨ “Something needs attention.”
✨ “Something has not fully healed.”
✨ “Something is asking to be felt.”

Our bodies hold the effects of injuries, surgeries, repetitive stress, emotional trauma, and life experiences within the fascial system. Over time, these restrictions can create compensation patterns that affect the entire body.

In Myofascial Release, we don’t force change.

We listen.
We follow the tissue.
We create safety.
We allow the body to guide the healing process.

When we stop overriding our body’s messages and begin listening with curiosity and compassion, healing can unfold in profound ways.

Your body is not your enemy.

It is your greatest teacher.

💜 Healing begins when you listen.

💜 WHAT IS REBOUNDING?
in John F. Barnes Myofascial Release

🌿 A gentle, rhythmic technique used to assess and communicate with the fascial system.

When fascia is healthy:
✨ Movement feels fluid
✨ The body responds with a natural spring-like motion
✨ Force is absorbed and distributed efficiently

When restrictions are present:
⚡ Movement may feel blocked
⚡ Motion can become uneven or rigid
⚡ The body’s natural adaptability is reduced

💜 REBOUNDING CAN HELP:

✨ Identify fascial restrictions
✨ Improve body awareness
✨ Encourage fluid movement
✨ Support nervous system relaxation
✨ Release tension and compensation patterns
✨ Assess changes before and after treatment

🌊 Imagine dropping a pebble into a pond.

In a healthy fascial system, movement ripples freely throughout the body.

When restrictions exist, those ripples become interrupted.

💜 The beauty of rebounding is that it helps us listen to the body rather than force change.

The body reveals where it needs attention, allowing treatment to address the source of restriction—not just the symptoms.

“Healing often begins when we stop forcing and start listening.”

🧬💡 In a groundbreaking discovery, scientists have revealed that fascia, the connective tissue that surrounds and supports every organ, muscle, and cell in the body, forms a quantum electromagnetic network. This network plays a crucial role in communication throughout the body, potentially acting as the primary system for transmitting information, even surpassing the traditional role of the nervous system.

Fascia, once thought to merely provide structural support, is now recognized for its far-reaching influence on the body’s functions. The quantum electromagnetic signals it produces help coordinate cell-to-cell communication, influencing everything from movement to immune responses. This discovery could completely redefine how we understand the body’s communication systems, suggesting that fascia acts as a fast, efficient, and widespread network connecting all cells.

This new insight has implications for various medical fields, including pain management, movement disorders, and chronic illness. Researchers believe that understanding how fascia interacts with cells on a quantum level could lead to innovative treatments for conditions like fibromyalgia, chronic pain, and even neurological diseases.

The revelation that fascia serves as a primary communication system is a major step forward in the study of human anatomy and could revolutionize how we approach healthcare. It underscores the complexity of the human body and the interconnectedness of all its systems.

What are your thoughts on this potential new role for fascia? How could this change our approach to medicine in the future?
