The AEA Institute We believe the strongest muscle you can train is the mind.
(1)

At AEA Institute we turn reaction into intention — helping athletes, leaders & individuals build focus, grit & resilience through our mental performance systems so you win in the moment & in life.

🧠 Your athletes lift, run, and drill every day. But who's training their mind?

We just recorded a full walkthrough of Mental Edge Academy, the weight room for the mind built by The AEA Institute. Take a look inside and see exactly what your athletes would experience 👇

Here's what you'll see in the video:
✅ Short daily reps (about 10 minutes, morning + evening) on the phone they already carry
✅ 15 performance mindsets, rehearsed before the big moment
✅ Pre-season, in-season, and off-season programs
✅ Coach and athletic director dashboards so you can actually track mental growth

It's all built on Active Brain Management™, our neuroscience-based method that turns mindset into a measurable daily workout. Athletes who train with us see an average +24% gain in mental strength in just 30 days.

Less than 1% go pro. 100% will face life. We train for both. 💪

Coaches, parents, and ADs, want to see it live and get your questions answered? Book an info session or find the right program for your team here:

There's a change you can make mid-game that takes one word.

Instead of "I've got this" — use your own name. "You've got this, Maya."

It sounds small. What it does is create a half-step of distance between you and the pressure, and from that half-step you think more clearly. Researchers call it self-distanced self-talk.

Same athlete. Same moment. Different vantage point.

Try it at your next practice and tell us what you notice.

(Research: Kross et al., 2014, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology — 585 participants across seven studies.)

Let me be clear about what we're not.

We're not hype. We're not a quote you forget by lunch. And we are not therapy.

The AEA Institute is a training system. What the gym is for your body, we are for your mind — structured reps that build focus and composure until they run on their own.

That calm in the 4th quarter isn't a personality trait. It's a trained skill. Motivation fades; trained skills don't.

Ask a parent what changed and they rarely talk about the scoreboard.

They talk about the ride home. The bounce-back. The kid who used to spiral after one bad play and now doesn't.

That's what trained composure looks like from the outside. Not louder. Steadier.

Coaches and ADs — that's the change Mental Edge is built to produce, across a whole roster.

A 60-second mental rep. No app, no equipment. Do it today.

Name it. Whatever you're feeling, label it. "I'm nervous." Naming it loosens its grip.

Frame it. Ask: is this a fact, or a story I'm telling myself? Most pressure lives in the story.

Aim it. Pick one small next move. Not the whole staircase — the next step.

Composure on the line, focus in the 4th — that isn't luck. It's reps.

Try it once today and tell us what shifted.

Quick gut-check: where does your mind actually live?

A. Replaying the past
B. Bracing for the future
C. Present, most days
D. Honestly… all over the place

Mental fitness starts with noticing. Most of us are stuck replaying or bracing — and missing the only moment we can train in.

Drop your letter below. Whatever you picked, it's trainable. One rep at a time.

Their toughest opponent isn't on the other side of the field.

It's the voice in their head after the mistake. The one that says I'm not good enough for this.

You can't argue that voice away from the sidelines. But it can be trained — the same way footwork gets trained. Noticing it. Naming it. Choosing the next thought on purpose.

That's a skill, and it's learnable at any age.

Parents — what's the one thing you wish you knew how to say after a rough game? Tell us below.

Reaction mode: stress hits, autopilot fires, same pattern, same result.

Intentional mode: stress hits, you pause, you choose, you build something new.

The gap between those two isn't personality. It's a skill. And skills are trainable.

That's what ABM90 is built to do — short morning and evening reps, 90 days, until intention becomes the default instead of the exception.

Save this one for your next stressful moment.

Most people live in reaction mode. Distracted, reactive, running old patterns on autopilot — and calling it normal.

I built the AEA Institute because I got tired of watching capable people stay stuck there.

You don't always choose what happens. You always get to choose how you see it — and that part is trainable.

You'd never send an athlete into the season physically untrained.

So why send them in mentally untrained?

Composure on the line. Focus in the 4th quarter. How they respond to a mistake. Those decide close games — and "just be confident" is the only mental coaching most athletes ever get.

Mental Edge trains it like the weight room trains strength. A real system, built into your program.

Coaches, ADs — comment or DM EDGE and we'll show you what it looks like for your team.
