Feeling that stubborn tightness between your shoulder blades? You might actually be “stuck.”

Poor posture, repetitive movements, injuries, and everyday stress can cause the layers of tissue (fascia) to lose their normal mobility and become restricted. When that happens, it can contribute to pain, stiffness, and that nagging feeling that you just can’t stretch it out.

In this video, you can see the area under the cup creating a “crater.” That’s where myofascial decompression (cupping with movement) is gently lifting and separating the tissue. By combining cupping with specific movements, we help restore normal tissue glide, improve circulation, and reduce those painful restrictions.

Wondering if cupping could help your pain or tightness? I’d love to chat! Reach out for a FREE consultation to see if it’s the right treatment for you.

Protein is having a moment—and for good reason. But if you’re on a GLP-1 medication, your protein needs aren’t just a trend…they’re essential.

GLP-1s can reduce appetite, which sounds helpful—until you realize it can also make it harder to get enough protein to maintain muscle, strength, and overall function.

Here’s what matters:
• Aim for at least 60g of protein daily
• Many individuals benefit from 1.2–1.5 g/kg of body weight per day (about 0.54–0.68 g per pound)
•If BMI is over 35, needs may increase to 2–2.5 g/kg/day

Why does this matter?
Not getting enough protein can lead to:– Loss of lean muscle mass– Weakness and fatigue– Edema– Hair loss– Skin changes
And from a physical therapy perspective—muscle loss = decreased strength, slower recovery, and higher injury risk.

If you're on a GLP-1, it’s not just about eating less—it’s about eating smart. Prioritizing protein helps protect your muscle, support your metabolism, and keep you moving well.

Have questions about how this applies to your rehab, strength, or weight loss goals? Let’s talk!

When I first started my business nearly 5 years ago I made house calls all the time. It was my primary way of treating! However, since being in my office I only make house calls on special occasions. Well for this special occasion I went to Chicken Nugget and Gang and had plenty of furry helpers! Definitely has been one of my favorite house calls 😄🐾
