Just days after we shared the inspiring story behind Nesha Be Cookin’ and how she’s honoring her late grandmother’s legacy through food, the momentum continues to grow.
Customers are reportedly arriving up to an hour before opening, with long lines becoming the norm as demand for her soul food, seafood, and specialty dishes continues to rise.
Originally from Michigan City (219) and now proudly serving Indianapolis, Nesha has become one of the city’s fastest-growing food entrepreneurs.
After building a name for herself as a celebrity baker in Atlanta, she reinvented her business around the family recipes and values passed down by her grandmother, turning that legacy into a growing food brand.
Now, many customers are saying it’s time for Nesha Be Cookin’ to open a permanent restaurant.
She also says a food tour is coming soon as she continues expanding her business throughout the region.
Beyond the food, this is another great example of the growing unity between Northwest Indiana’s 219 and Indianapolis’ 317.
At a time when headlines often focus on rivalry and division, entrepreneurs like Nesha are showing that talent, hard work, and community support can bring both regions together.
Congratulations to Nesha Be Cookin’ on the continued success. We look forward to seeing what’s next.
