If you have gel (aka silicone) implants — this post is for you! If you’ve had your implants for 5–6 years, the FDA recommends checking in with your plastic surgeon for an ultrasound to make sure everything looks intact and there’s no rupture. I offer in-office ultrasounds for all of my patients, or for $95 if your implants were placed elsewhere. Come on in!

This beautiful 66 year-old patient lost 70 pounds with hard work and the assistance of a GLP-1 medication. She is proof that “mommy makeovers” can also be for grandmas!

She underwent:
→ Extended abdominoplasty
→ Mastopexy (breast lift) with autoaugmentation **all her own breast tissue, no implants!
→ SAFELiposuction of the trunk, lateral chest, and anterior axilla

She is shown here at 5 months post-op. Slide 2 shows the power of an extended abdominoplasty - her lateral thigh and buttock also get lifted with this operation!

This patient in her mid 20s underwent otoplasty for prominent ears. This is one of my favorite surgeries to perform because of its precision and artistry, and because of the impact it has on patients. The ear cartilage is reshaped with carefully placed sutures (illustration on last slide).

One of my favorite memories from Plastic Surgery training was learning otoplasty from – grateful to have learned all about ear surgery from one of the best!! 💕
