The gym doesn’t stop working after 50. But biology starts negotiating harder.

Exercise remains important at every age, but there is a difference between becoming fit and creating a specific degree of muscular size, shape and proportion. Genetics establish much of that framework, and as we age, achieving substantial additional muscle volume naturally becomes progressively more difficult.
His goal was not simply to look “bigger.” It was to create a stronger upper-body architecture that remained proportional to his frame.

His pectoral augmentation was performed using custom-designed pectoral implants, allowing the chest dimensions and projection to be designed specifically for his anatomy. His biceps augmentation uses standard implants to add upper-arm volume and improve the relationship between the chest, shoulders and arms.

The result is not intended to replace physical conditioning. It addresses something the gym cannot always provide: control over anatomy.

And no, being over 50 does not mean the opportunity to change your physique has passed.

You can’t train away because bone.

Most body contouring changes soft tissue. This changes the framework underneath it.

Implants and time.

How long does it take?

A face isn’t a collection of features. It’s an architectural design.

In the OR:

Sometimes the problem isn’t one feature. It’s the relationship between all of them.

This case wasn’t about changing a chin, a cheek, or a jaw in isolation. It was about restructuring the face as a whole—building projection where it was lacking, reducing where there was excess, and changing the balance of the lower two-thirds of the face.

Some cases require a scalpel. Some require a shovel. Either way, Dr. Eppley has notes.

Enjoy his reviews.💩

A flat midface changes more than your profile—it changes your entire face.

When the midface lacks projection, the eyes can appear more prominent, the nose can look larger, and the face can seem prematurely aged or tired.

The goal isn’t to make the cheeks bigger. It’s to restore the foundation beneath them.

In this case, Dr. Eppley explains how a custom midface implant can correct the underlying concavity—not just camouflage it.

Would you have guessed

The midface plays a big role in facial balance.
