Can you have a concussion with a normal CT scan or MRI? Yes.
CT scans and MRIs help doctors look for structural injuries, such as bleeding, swelling or fractures. A concussion can affect how the brain functions without creating changes that standard imaging can detect.
Health care providers diagnose concussions through symptoms and clinical testing, including:

โ๏ธ Eye movement and visual tracking
โ๏ธ Memory and concentration
โ๏ธ Headaches and neck pain
โ๏ธ Dizziness and motion sensitivity
