As We Celebrate Certified Nursing Assistant Week, We Are Delighted to Introduce Cheyanne Bailey, Tammy Mahon, and Marlys Brown, Three Devoted Professionals Who Excel in Their Field. Here, They Share Their Insights into the Rewards of Working as a CNA.
Cheyanne Bailey Expresses, 'I love being a CNA because it allows me to make a meaningful difference in people's lives every day. I enjoy helping patients with their daily needs, providing comfort, and offering support during difficult times. Being a CNA gives me the opportunity to build trusting relationships with patients and their families while showing compassion, patience, and respect. I take pride in knowing that my care can improve someone's quality of life and help them feel valued and cared for. The experience also helps me grow both personally and professionally, making each day rewarding and fulfilling.'
Tammy Mahon Notes, 'I have the opportunity to learn from my residents; what they like and don't like. Being part of their family, building relationships, sharing experiences, and being part of something special are the most rewarding parts of my job.'
Marlys Brown Reflects, 'February 4th will be 20 years for me as a CNA. I had helped with my mother, but started classes to get a job. My teacher repeatedly said, what if your residents were a relative? I have enjoyed getting to know people, and to reconnect with others. The work just comes with the territory.'
