*Postpartum anxiety has entered the chat 📲
When your brain is constantly scanning for danger, it’s hard to relax, to trust someone else to take over, to feel emotionally available when your nervous system is convinced it has to stay “on” all the time.
That can look like:
— Snapping over small things.
— Feeling resentful that your partner doesn’t worry the way you do.
— Rechecking everything they do with the baby.
— Pulling away emotionally or physically.
— Feeling guilty because you don’t feel like the partner you used to be.
BUT good news, this doesn’t mean your relationship is broken. It means anxiety is taking up more space than either of you realize.
The more we understand postpartum anxiety, the less likely we are to mistake its symptoms for personal failures or relationship problems.
If this sounds familiar, know this: you deserve support, and so does your relationship. 🤍
