Thanks for the challenge, Horn Memorial Hospital and Stewart Memorial Hospital! Our St. Anthony team is joining the to highlight stellar emergency care that shines in our community. 🌟

The six points of the Star of Life represent six functions of emergency medical care, from detection and reporting to on-scene care, transport and transfer to definitive care. We’re proud to be part of that care for our community.

Now we’re passing the star to Mary Greeley Medical Center and Carroll County Iowa Ambulance. We want to see what you’ve got!

The St. Anthony Cancer Center recently received two care package donations for our patients. Thank you to the St Rose of Lima #6 Catholic Daughters of the Americas for their thoughtful gifts that included snacks, games, and other goodies, and to Tracy Munguia, an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay, who donated care packages with the help of local donors. Her packages included hand, foot and lip care, along with other care items.

Gifts like these remind our patients they are surrounded by a community of support during their cancer journeys. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. 💗

Today we're celebrating the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi — a reminder of the compassion, humility and simple kindness that inspire so much of what we do here at St. Anthony. 🕊️

This day is incredibly meaningful to us as a hospital founded on Franciscan values. St. Francis' compassion and care for all living beings set an example for how we care for our patients, residents and community.

🌟 It’s ! 🌟

Join us in recognizing Katelyn Simmons for the compassionate care she recently provided a patient during a difficult moment.

“She is truly meant for what she is doing — she showed all the necessary characteristics and displayed compassion to me and my husband during a difficult time. She helped take weight off of our heavy situation and the grief that came with it. We were so blessed to be in Katelyn's care during this time and hope she knows how grateful we are.”
