October Resident Spotlight
Ruby D🎉

Ruby was born on November 20, 1940, in Delta County, Texas, and moved to Dallas with her family in 1948. She grew up with three brothers and fondly remember spending Saturdays at the Forest Avenue movie theater with the 25 cents her parents gave her.

Ruby married William Bryan Drye in 1958, and they shared 61 wonderful years together. in 1959, Ruby graduated and welcome their son, Richard, Together they raised two children, Richard and Katherine.

Ruby's life has been centered around family, faith, service and learning. She taught Sunday School, served through a soldier relief mission, cared for family and animals, and taught ESL through the Texas Baptist Convention.

At age 49 Ruby earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Today Ruby is blessed with 2 children, 4 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. Her devotion to God and family has been a a beautiful party of her life story.

We are blessed to have Ruby as part of our Bethesda Gardens Carrollton family!
