Every step taken at Nise's Race helps make a difference for patients receiving care close to home.

Created in memory of Catherine Denise "Nise" Owens Thompson, who courageously battled cervical cancer for five years, Nise's Race honors her legacy while encouraging women to prioritize their health through education, prevention and early detection.

Tanner Health Foundation is honored to be a beneficiary of Nise's Race, with proceeds supporting the Tanner Medical Center/Villa Rica Infusion Center and the Catherine Denise "Nise" Owens Thompson Lobby.

Already in 2026, the infusion center has:

- Served 511 unique patients
- Recorded 1,904 patient encounters
- Performed 1,029 infusions for women
- Provided 246 oncology infusions, including 123 for women receiving cancer treatment
