Your brain doesn't always know it's bedtime just because you got into bed.
If your evening goes from work → chores → scrolling → answering one more email → straight into bed, your body may be tired while your brain is still “on.”
A wind-down routine creates a transition between doing and sleeping.
It doesn't have to be complicated. Try 30–60 minutes of quieter, less stimulating activities before bed—dim the lights, put work away, take a warm shower, read, stretch, breathe, pray, or simply give yourself some quiet.
And remember: the goal isn't a perfect routine. It's a consistent transition.
