Heat exhaustion is a warning sign that your body can no longer keep itself cool. It’s caused by too much heat and dehydration and if not treated, may lead to heat stroke.

Heat stroke is a medical emergency 🚨 It refers to a very dangerous rise in body temperature of 104 and higher. It can be deadly.

If ANYONE experiences these symptoms they should seek medical help, immediately move to a cooler place and act to lower their body temperature.

Dehydration happens when your body lacks the proper amount of fluids and electrolytes. Dehydration can also put you at risk for heat exhaustion.

Older adults are more likely to be hospitalized for dehydration and can experience some serious consequences. These are the common symptoms associated with dehydration, along with steps to prevent it.

Cataracts are one of the few chronic conditions that is reversible. This is good news! The most affective treatment is cataract surgery where the natural eye lens is replaced with an intraocular lens (IOL).

However, there are some steps one can take before surgery is needed to prevent and treat cataracts.

The most common cause of cataracts are linked to aging and changes of the natural eye lens. Cataracts develop slowly, however certain medical conditions such as diabetes can cause quicker progression. Regular eye exams can help with early detection.
