Last Thursday nearly 100 dental professionals gathered for an engaging program on dental implant failures, maintenance techniques, and protocols designed to improve patient outcomes.

We’re excited to welcome Dr. Gabriel “Gabe” Grisham to the Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery team! 🎉

Dr. Grisham is a Harvard-trained, Board-Certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and former U.S. Navy Lt. Commander with more than eight years of military service. As a Georgia native, he’s honored to serve the communities of Woodstock and Acworth and provide exceptional surgical care close to home.

His surgical interests include dental implant reconstruction, wisdom teeth removal, sedation/general anesthesia, orthognathic surgery, bone grafting, and Botox injections.

After an extraordinary career spanning decades, we are proud to celebrate the retirement of Dr. Donald R. Nunn.
Since joining Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery in 2000, Dr. Nunn has cared for patients across numerous AOFS locations, earning the respect of colleagues, staff, and countless patients along the way. Whether opening a new office, mentoring a team, or taking on a complex case, he was always willing to step in wherever he was needed.
Dr. Nunn's career is nothing short of remarkable. After practicing oral surgery for eight years, he returned to medical school to expand his expertise, ultimately becoming the only physician in the United States to earn triple board certification in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Plastic Surgery, and Otolaryngology/Head & Neck Surgery. He also completed a prestigious aesthetic surgery fellowship in Manhattan, bringing an unmatched level of skill and dedication to every patient he treated.
Those who worked beside Dr. Nunn know that his greatest legacy extends far beyond his impressive credentials. His work ethic, commitment to excellence, and genuine care for his patients and teammates have left a lasting impact throughout AOFS.
As he begins this next chapter, we're excited for him to enjoy a well-deserved retirement on his horse farm in Kentucky.
