Stop. Reread that one more time. Think about what aspects in your life need to change. Professional life, relationships, time management, finances, vacation destination. Everything you do (or don’t) carries a choice inside. Be sure you are the one responsible for it. At the end of the day it is up to you to choose and become what you want to see yourself as. If something is no longer working for you, do something to change it. If you decide to do nothing, nothing will change.

Self care is a personal matter and will look different from person to person. Self care is making sure that you are in tune with your holistic wellbeing so that you are able to fulfill your professional and personal obligations. Working out, sticking to a strict bedtime routine, going for a walk after work, spending time with friends, using sick time at work, taking a long bath, reading a book...the list goes on and on. Just remember that this “me time” will help you put out a better version of yourself to the universe.

Thoughts are just that right, thoughts. Think about the power that you are giving your thoughts. Just because we think something does not make it true! Maybe it’s time to change the narrative you have been telling yourself or that others may have imposed on you.
