Hip impingement rehab isn’t always about stretching more, it’s about improving how the hip moves and controls motion through positions that matter.

Today’s focus:
✅ Deep hip internal rotator strength
✅ Mobility with movement strategies to improve joint access and control
✅ Building strength in newly available ranges.

The deep hip rotators play a key role in maintaining hip stability and optimizing by femoral movement within the socket. When paired with mobility focused interventions, we can improve hip internal rotation while teaching the body how to own that range under load.

Return to sport testing is a critical step after ACL reconstruction to make sure athletes are truly ready for the demands of their sport. These objective measures help guide return to sport decisions by assessing strength, power, asymmetries and neuromuscular control - ensuring the athlete is not only feeling good, but performing at a level that supports a safe return to competition. Today’s assessment at 6 months included:

- Double leg depth jump to measure reactive strength and the ability to absorb force
- Double leg countermovement jump to evaluate overall lower body power and force production
- Single leg countermovement jump to assess limb symmetry, unilateral power and landing control
- Quad and hamstring dynamometer strength testing to objectively quantify strength and identify any residual deficits

Month 5-6 of ACL rehab: shifting the focus to multidirectional power, lateral movement patterns and progressing single leg plyos needed for change of direction and cutting. Each session is about building the capacity to move explosively, absorb force and trust the knee in all planes of motion.

Don’t ignore your ankle after a sprain 👀

What you do early in recovery can make or break how well you heal. Rest is important—but so is restoring mobility and building strength back the right way.

✨ Gentle movement helps reduce stiffness
✨ Strength work protects against future sprains
✨ Better balance = more confidence on your feet

Skipping this stage is how minor sprains turn into chronic ankle issues.

Take care of it now so it doesn’t keep coming back later 💪

Overhead athletes, this one’s for you ⬆️💪

Your shoulder isn’t just mobile—it needs to be strong and stable through every inch of that overhead range. Whether you’re throwing, swimming, serving, or lifting, overhead strength helps you generate power, stay efficient, and reduce injury risk.

Don’t skip the “boring” work:
✨ Controlled presses
✨ Scapular stability drills
✨ Rotator cuff strengthening

Train smart now so your shoulders can keep showing up when it matters most.

Still stretching your foot for plantar fasciitis? Try this instead 👇
✅Big toe mobility and strengthening to help you push off efficiently when you walk/run. ✅Foot intrinsic control to support your arch and reduce strain on the plantar fascia. ✅Calf strengthening to improve load absorption and take pressure off your heel. Less strain on the plantar fascia = less pain and better movement.
