Recovery isn't always measured in weeks. Sometimes it's measured in milestones.

This athlete is 9.5 months removed from surgery after rupturing her Achilles tendon while playing volleyball.

Throughout her recovery, we've focused on restoring strength, power, confidence, and the ability to trust her leg again during higher-level athletic movements.

She's already returned to playing recreational softball, and tomorrow she'll step onto the volleyball court for her first game since surgery.

That's what return to sport is all about.

We're excited to see her continue progressing and can't wait to hear how the game goes.

One of the most successful runners we work with has also been one of our longest-standing patients.

She's been running marathons for years and continues to prioritize recovery, maintenance, and injury prevention so she can keep training consistently and performing at a high level.

A common misconception is that physical therapy is only for injuries. Many of our runners come in proactively to stay ahead of issues, maintain their bodies, and continue doing what they love.

Consistency is often the difference between reaching your goals and sitting on the sidelines.

Quadriceps tightness is something many runners experience, especially during heavy training blocks, race preparation, or periods of increased intensity.

Dry needling is one tool we may utilize to help address muscle tightness and support recovery as part of a larger rehabilitation and performance plan.

Jeremy is a runner with a goal of getting back to trail running and eventually ultra running following surgery.

Today's session focused on several key areas of recovery, including calf mobility, Achilles tendon quality, blood flow restriction (BFR) strength training, and introductory plyometric exercises.

Returning to running isn't just about being pain-free. It's about restoring strength, rebuilding tendon capacity, and preparing the body for the demands of the sport.

We're excited about the progress Jeremy is making and look forward to continuing to build on it.

Someone gets on the treadmill next to you.

Suddenly you're no longer exercising... you're competing 😂

It's one of those things runners never talk about, but everyone understands.

Tight calves are one of the most common issues we see in runners.

Whether it's increased training volume, race preparation, or accumulated fatigue, calf tightness can impact running mechanics and overall performance. Dry needling is one tool we may utilize alongside strength training and movement-based rehabilitation to help runners continue progressing toward their goals.

POV: Your PT told you to keep it light.

Somehow that gets interpreted as "add more weight" 😂

Athletes, we know who you are.

Kind of easy.

Meanwhile the legs are moving at approximately the speed of light 😂

Just another day in the life of a runner.
