Michael Wayne Williamson, age 65 of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2026. Michael was born on August 8, 1960, in Hazard, KY to the late Walter Lee Williamson & Anna Ruth Ballew Williamson. Michael was a loving husband, a great father, and loved his grandchildren with all he had. He was a true charmer, a great story teller, an avid watcher of the news as well as Hallmark, and he religiously tried his luck at winning the lottery. If he wasn’t cooking you something to eat, he was either letting you know every snack available, saying one of his many “dad” phrases, or telling you a story from his childhood! Michael was a spitfire, and his contagious smile and laughter will be greatly missed by us all. “You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t make it drink.”- Michael Williamson

With heavy hearts and unwavering faith, we celebrate the life of Marty “Mudflap” Braden, who entered into the presence of the Lord and Savior surrounded by his loving wife, Amy “Mamie” Braden, and his family.

Marty loved God deeply and loved his life as a reflection of his faith. His greatest earthly blessing was his wife, Amy “Mamie” Braden, whom he cherished deeply. Their love and bond were a beautiful part of his life, and she stood by his side with love and devotion.

Marty was a devoted father who loved his family with his whole heart. He was blessed with five children: Calvin Braden and Kyle Braden of Lafollette; Alyssa Braden and her husband Josh of Briceville; Cody Phillips and Jules of Rocky Top; and Brianna Wilson and her husband Jeremiah of Briceville; parents, Barb and Robert Bullman of Rocky Top; brother, Randy Braden; sisters, Beverly, Janice, Katie, Melissa, and Tina. He was also blessed with three precious bonus girls, Elizabeth Osborne, Candi Marsh, and Brandi McCarty, whom he welcomed into his life and loved as his own. Marty’s heart was big, and his love for his family knew no boundaries.

Marty was a proud grandfather to seventeen grandchildren: Colton, Paytyn, Jasper, and Alidea Braden, Jericha, Layla, Bella, Boy, Myah, and Zola Wilson, and Rylan, Lakein, Emersynn, Re*****on, and Auden Phillips, along with three precious babies in Heaven, who brought him endless happiness and filled his life with love and laughter.

For 28 years, Marty faithfully served the City of Jacksboro. He took great pride in his work, and the friendships he built with his coworkers were among the greatest blessings of his life. He also faithfully served as the Assistant Chief of the Ridgewood Fire Department, dedicating himself to protecting and serving his community with courage and compassion.

From the time he was a young boy, Marty had a passion for trucks and heavy equipment. Whether he was operating them, admiring them, or talking about them, they always brought him happiness. He also had a special love for his dogs, who were loyal companions throughout his life.

Marty was blessed with countless friends whom he loved dearly. He treasured every friendship, but his close friends, Kyle Goodman, Dylan Roach, and Randy Martin held a special place in his heart. These friendships brought him many memories, laughter, and moments that he had cherished deeply.

One of Marty’s favorite daily routines was stopping by Casey’s for his coffee and drinks. It was never just about the stop - it was about the people. Over the years, he made many special friends there, and those visits became a cherished part of his life.

If you ever had the privilege of knowing Marty, you knew laughter. He had a way of making everyone around him smile, and his joyful spirit was contagious. His kindness, quick wit, and generous heart left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Marty’s caregivers. Thank you for always understanding his needs, showing him compassion, and caring for him with patience, dignity, and love. Your kindness and dedication meant more than words can express.

More than anything, Marty wanted people to know the love of God. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he never missed an opportunity to share the hope, grace, and love he found in Jesus Christ.

While his family and friends grieve his passing, they find comfort in knowing that Marty is now in the presence of the Lord he loved so deeply. His legacy of faith, service, family, friendship, laughter, and love will continue to live on through everyone fortunate enough to have known him.

Richard Michael Roberts, 82 of Caryville Tennessee, formerly of Mt. Clemens Michigan, passed away on July 23, 2026, at the Lafollette Medical Center. Mike battled cancer, diabetes and COPD/AFib over the last several years and had been under hospice care. He was born on August 2,1943 to Quentin and Roberta Roberts in Detroit, Michigan.
Mike was a Veteran having served in the U S Army. He was also a land navigational pilot a/k/a truck driver for a large portion of his adult life. Having worked for several national companies UPS, Youngblood Truck Lines and US Express to name a few. Mike along with his wife owned and operated several restaurants (Mikes’ Snack Bar & Deli & The Bellemeade Restaurant in Jacksboro Tennessee). In his younger years he earned his black belt in karate from the Karate Institute of America and participated in their tournaments and competitions.
In additions to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Jeffery M Roberts, daughter Tina Marie and brother Peter Roberts.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Vietta Boshears Roberts, brother David Praim (Sue) of Shelby Township, Michigan, Grandson Brandon Roberts (Shannon) of Corpus Christi, Texas, Stepchildren, Angela Hudson Durham, East Ridge TN, Howard & Stephen Peach of Caryville TN and Jeffery Peach of St. Petersburg, Florida, 9 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren along with several nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to express thanks to the hospice team from Amedisys, the caregivers from Synergy HomeCare and the team of doctors and nurses at the LaFollette Medical Center emergency department. All these dedicated caring folks provided compassionate care and helped our family prepare for Mike's passing.

Peter Christopher Mullins, age 61 of Caryville, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at the Lafollette Medical Center. He was born on February 16, 1965 to the late Carl and Laurel Kuykendall Mullins in Oak Ridge. Pete loved all his dogs he had over the years, Patches, Honey, Esther, Oreo, Baby, Trigger, Rufus, Petey, Wrinkles, Cleo, and Skip. He also enjoyed his music. Pete loved having company over or just going for a drive.
He is preceded in death by sisters, Louise Gann, and Barbara Long; his dear friend, James Norman; and other friends, Billy Braswell, and Mary Morales.
He is survived by brothers, Michael Mullins, and Stanley Mullins; dearest friend, Junie Braswell; and other family and friends.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Rocky Lynn Bailey, age 40, of Briceville, Tennessee, who went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.

Rocky was born on June 11, 1986, to Earl Bailey Jr. and Teresa Bailey.

Rocky was preceded in death by his grandfather, Hugene Wilson; Great Uncle, Elmer Bailey; Uncle, Gary Bailey.
Rocky is survived by: wife, Deidra Bailey (Hall); children, Savannah, Rocky Jr., and Boyd Bailey; stepchildren Winry and Warren Hall; parents, Earl Bailey Jr. and Teresa Bailey;
brother, Ricky Bailey and wife Stephanie; grandparents, Earl and Zenna Mae Bailey; Linda Wilson; aunts, Phyllis Williams and Donna Duncan; uncle, Danny Wilson; special cousin, Jessica Beach.
He is also survived by a host of other family members and dear friends who will miss him deeply.

From the time Rocky could walk, he was fixing things. He started with toys, specifically the toys Ricky would break. Then he started rebuilding bicycles and working on four wheelers, and eventually, cars. There was nothing he couldn't fix and nothing he couldn't work on.

While other kids were reading comic books, Rocky was reading Super Chevy and Car Craft magazines. That love for cars stayed with him the rest of his life, handed down from his father, who, like Rocky, knew Chevy was the best.

He had an incredible ability to accomplish whatever he set his mind to. His determination, strength, and generous spirit inspired those around him. He lived with purpose, loved without hesitation, and left an unforgettable mark on the lives of everyone fortunate enough to know him.

As a father, Rocky was the best. He always worked so hard to make sure his kids were taken care of and provided for. But he was always around, too. He was up for being goofy, playing games, taking them fishing or surfing on the lake, or just hanging out with them. And most recently, making them sit through the cartoons he loved from his childhood whether they liked them or not! And even to the end, Rocky was fighting for his kids. All the fight he had was for his kids.

As a husband. he loved his family with his whole heart. He was my greatest protector, my safest place, my best friend, and my entire world. We shared a bond unlike any other—one built on unwavering trust, unconditional love, and a promise to always be there for each other, no matter what. Through every joy and every hardship, we stood side by side, loving each other deeply and completely.

Rocky was a great son. A father isn't just losing a son. He's losing a best friend, a fishing partner, a garage buddy - the only other person in the family who spoke his language of cars. And he is leaving behind his biggest support and encourager, a Mom who he knew was always there for him.

His brother will always cherish the hours they spent in the garage together, Rocky teaching him how engines worked, inviting him along to go buy junk cars he found in the Bargain Mart or Craigslist to fix up or part out. He will miss all those late night conversations in the garage and getting whooped by his big brother in Super Mario Bros. or Nascar Thunder.

We are rejoicing that Rocky is now with the Father, in the presence of so many in his family who have gone on before him, and more importantly, in the presence of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Tonya Renea Craig, age 55 of Briceville, passed away on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. She was born on June 25, 1971 in Yuma, Arizona to Rex Morgan and Helen Patricia McCallister Chase. She was a faithful member of her church, Briceville Church of God, where she was very well loved. She was a wonderful wife, mother, nanny, sister, daughter, and friend. Tonya was a precious soul that was a friend to everyone, a true woman of God, the little short twinkle in her five grandchildren’s eyes, and an angel here on earth taken way too soon.
She is preceded in death by her father, Rex Morgan Chase; brother, James Morgan Chase; and mother-in-law, Margie Craig.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Eddie Eugene Poore, who departed peacefully surrounded by family on June 22, 2026 at the age of 77.
Eddie was born on February 2, 1949 (Groundhog Day) in Westbourne, TN. He lived a life defined by hard work, love for his family, and a lifelong appreciation for the outdoors.
As a young man in 1966, he joined the U.S. Job Corps, where he became a skilled heavy equipment operator, a profession he took great pride in throughout his life.
When he wasn't working, he could almost always be found outdoors. Fishing and hunting were not simply hobbies—they were a way of life. Whether casting a line into a favorite fishing hole before sunrise or sitting quietly in a deer stand as daylight crept through the trees, he found peace, purpose, and joy in nature. The outdoors was where he felt most at home.
He treasured every fishing trip, every hunting season, and every opportunity to share those experiences with family and friends. Some of his happiest moments were spent teaching his kids and grandkids how to bait a hook, cast a fishing line, read the water, and track wildlife. His stories of memorable catches, successful hunts, and even "the one that got away" will continue to bring smiles to those who knew and loved him.
When he wasn't working, he was rarely idle. He had a natural talent for working on vehicles and could often be found under the hood of a car or truck, fixing an engine or helping a friend or family member get back on the road. There wasn't much he couldn't repair with a little time, determination, and the right tools. He enjoyed the challenge of solving mechanical problems and took pride in keeping things running.
His love for caring for others extended into the kitchen as well. Family and friends always looked forward to gathering around the table for his famous homemade beef vegetable soup. It wasn't just a meal—it was a tradition that brought everyone together. Whether on a cold winter day or during a family gathering, a bowl of his soup was made with care, generosity, and love, becoming one of the many memories his family will forever cherish.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents, Bruce & Jessie Poore; wife Eunice Poore and son Kevin Lee Poore; sister Delphia Rose, brothers Ronnie & Bruce, Jr. Poore.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving children Michelle & husband Shane McMillan, sons Marty and Travis Poore; brothers Otis (Big O) Poore, Ralph Poore, David (Stick) Poore, Johnny & wife Debra Poore; sisters Juanita Wynn, Becky Tackett, and Norma & husband LeRoy Phillips. He is also survived by his grandkids Brandon & wife Paige Adkins, Sarah & husband Nick Lively, Seth Poore, Hailey Poore, Warren Poore and Whitney Poore as well as his great grandbabies Carter & Vivian Adkins, Brady & Chloe Lively, and Sha’Mar Thomas; special friends Leanne Miles and LaDonna Goode; and a slew of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; honorary friends Dr. Casmir Ezim and the staff at Knoxville Footcare.
Whether fixing a vehicle, sharing hunting stories, taking someone fishing, or serving up another pot of his famous soup, he made people feel welcome and cared for.
Though he has laid down his fishing rod and set aside his hunting gear, his legacy lives on in the lakes he fished, the woods he hunted, the engines he repaired, the meals he lovingly prepared, and the family who will forever treasure the lessons, laughter, and love he shared. He will forever be in our hearts and missed very much every day.

Nancy Ann Robertson Disney, age 70 of Knoxville, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 16, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and Helen Robertson and her big brother Robert Robertson, Jr.
Nan was a loving wife, an extremely proud mother, Nanny and Great-Nanny. Nan immensely enjoyed cooking and was always trying to feed everyone that she came in contact with. But above all, she treasured spending time with her beloved family.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Bob Disney; son Brad Disney, wife Susan of Knoxville; sister Teena Moses, husband Larry of Rocky Top; grandchildren Haley Siler, husband Tim, Lacey Livingstone, husband Justin, Brittany Douglas, husband Mikey, and Matthew McCarty; 10 great grandchildren Brody, Arianna, Aliyah, Maxton, Elijah, Alora, Macy Ann, Miley, Mallory and Sophia, beloved nieces, nephews and a host of family and friends.
