Did you know? Skilled nursing facilities and nursing homes are not quite the same.

Skilled nursing provides physician-directed medical care and rehabilitation after an illness, injury, or surgery. Nursing homes primarily provide ongoing help with daily living.

Skilled nursing stays are often short-term and recovery-focused (though can be ongoing to treat chronic conditions,) while nursing home care is usually long-term.

Christmas in July brought out plenty of creativity at Medilodge of Cass City! A few of us put our decorating skills to work and created graham cracker houses for a friendly Christmas in July contest. Just a reminder—these houses are for display only and are not edible, as we added everything but the kitchen sink! Take a look at our festive creations!
