Pumpkin was diagnosed HIV positive in 1990 and departed on August 14, 1998. SEEDS of Healing, Inc.'s (SOH) mission is to deconstruct myths that perpetuate HIV stigma, to generate support for marginalized people living with or affected by HI

V, and to eliminate disparities in HIV outcomes for Black women in southeast North Carolina. SOH’s vision is to end the HIV epidemic by eliminating transmission and for all people living with HIV to live productive and healthy lives free from stigma.

Stop the Stigma! Happy 🤍❌Join SEEDS of Healing today, July 21st, in our recognition of Zero HIV Stigma Day. HIV stigma persists despite advancements in HIV care and prevention, and amplifies HIV-related inequity.

Zero HIV Stigma Day serves as a spearheading movement uniting communities to take action against HIV stigma. SEEDS of Healing’s mission is to deconstruct myths that perpetuate HIV stigma and our work seeks to eliminate disparities for Black women living with HIV.

Join us today in honoring HIV Long-Term Survivors✊🏻✊🏽✊🏿 . On June 5th we celebrate the great strides we have made in HIV/AIDS care and raise awareness about the needs and journeys of long-term survivors. HIV Long-Term Survivors Awareness Day was first observed in 2014 and is celebrated on the anniversary of the first report of what soon became known as the AIDS epidemic on June 5th, 1981. This day recognizes the 300,000 people living in the US who were diagnosed with HIV before HAART, those who have been living with HIV for over 10 years, and those who acquired HIV at birth or as young children. Visit our website https://www.seedsofhealinginc.org/ to learn about HIV-related services, events, and support we offer.
