Getting braces soon? We’ve got you covered!

A few simple tips can make your first day with braces a little easier:

•Eat before your appointment
•Have soft foods ready at home
•Expect some soreness (it’s normal!)
•Keep your braces clean by brushing after meals

The first few days are an adjustment, but you’ll be a braces pro before you know it.

Custom Braces vs Clear Aligners

When it comes to orthodontic treatment, you have options!

At Lane Orthodontics, we use the KL Owen Custom braces system. This allows us to plan in detail and create your custom smile designed specifically for you!

After taking a 3D scan of your teeth we digitally plan your treatment. This precision allows for fewer appointments and visits during treatment. It can often also lead to shorter treatment time.

Clear aligners are made of plastic and are custom-made to fit your teeth. Each aligner moves the teeth step by step toward the final position. These are a great option for patients who want to correct their smile, but in a more subtle way. (It is important to remember that aligners can treat most, but not all, orthodontic problems.)

We recommend a personalized consult with Dr. Lane to determine which treatment best suits you and your needs!

Career day was an absolute blast!

Dr. Lane had the best time visiting a local middle school this past month. From a game of Jeopardy to guessing celebrities by their smiles, the kids were amazing! We even sent them home with some fun goodie bags.

Being involved in the Castle Rock community is something we truly cherish, and getting to educate and inspire young minds makes it even more special.

Did you know the American Association of Orthodontists recommends children have their first orthodontic evaluation by age 7?

At this age, orthodontists can spot early signs of bite and jaw development issues like crowding, spacing, or growth imbalances before they become bigger concerns.

Early evaluations don't always mean early treatment, but they do help us guide proper growth and prevent more complex and costly treatment down the road.

Not every child needs treatment at 7 but the right ones benefit so much from starting early.
