Ketamine is not a magic fix and it is not a party drug.
For treatment‑resistant depression, PTSD, and chronic anxiety, ketamine (used in a medical setting, with prep and follow‑up therapy) can help your brain get ‘unstuck’ from survival mode long enough to actually do the deeper work.

My job is to help you understand:
– Who ketamine is for (and who it is not for)
– What a session actually looks like
– How we support you before, during, and after
Curious about whether ketamine‑assisted therapy might be an option for you? You can always ask questions without committing to anything.

ADHD is not ‘I get bored easily.’
It’s ‘I just opened 12 tabs in my brain, forgot what the first one was, and now I’m emotionally invested in a squirrel on TikTok.’
If that feels a little too accurate, you are not broken. Your brain is just running a different operating system.
Therapy does not try to turn you into a robot. It helps you build a life that actually fits your brain.

Me: says one slightly awkward thing in a conversation

The other person: moves on with their day.

My ADHD + rejection‑sensitive brain:
‘Congratulations, we will now be thinking about this every night before bed for the rest of our lives.’

If you:
-Replay convos on loop
-Assume ‘they must be mad at me’ when someone sends ‘K’
-Feel physically sick after you think you embarrassed yourself
…it might be rejection sensitivity / RSD, not you being ‘too sensitive’.

Good news: with therapy, body‑based calming tools, and some solid reality‑checks, your brain can learn that awkward ≠ unlovable.

ADHD or just tired?
Trick question. It can be both.

ADHD can look like:

Scrolling your phone while your coffee gets cold

Forgetting what you walked into the room for

Needing a deadline to unlock ‘turbo focus’ mode

If this feels like your daily life, you’re not lazy or broken. Your brain just uses a different rulebook. Therapy can help you learn it instead of fighting it every day.

Happy World Book Day 📚

My bookshelf:

47 self‑help books

12 productivity books

9 ‘fix your life in 5 steps’ books

Also my brain:
‘Cool cool cool… still anxious though.’ 😅

Books can be amazing tools, but they can’t ask follow‑up questions, notice your patterns, or sit with you when the chapter hits too close to home.

If you’ve highlighted half the book and still feel stuck, it might be time to bring those insights into therapy instead of staying in your own head about them.

Have you ever watched a kids’ movie about emotions and thought, ‘Oh… that’s my brain’?

Inside Out did one thing really well: it showed that ALL feelings have a job.

Even the ones we don’t like:
Anxiety = trying (a little too hard) to keep us safe
Anger = protecting our boundaries
Sadness = asking for comfort and connection

In therapy, we don’t try to kick emotions out of the control room. We help them work as a team.

Hi there! For those who are new here, I’m Shae, your friendly neighborhood ADHD therapist.

Yes, I:

-Forget what I was saying mid‑sentence
-Have 37 tabs open (in my brain and my browser)
-Set reminders… to check my other reminders

ADHD isn’t a character flaw. It’s a different operating system that sometimes needs better instructions, tools, and a lot of self‑compassion.

If you’ve ever thought, ‘Can a therapist really get my ADHD brain?’ — hi, it me. 😅

One simple Sunday practice that actually helps: write down three things that felt hard this week and one thing you handled better than you expected.

Not a gratitude list. Not toxic positivity. Just honest acknowledgment that you showed up — even imperfectly.

You did hard things this week. That counts. 💙

Save this for your Sunday wind-down. 👇
