We're honored to share that our "Before I Die" Wall has been featured in the June 2026 edition of Catonsville Neighbors Magazine.
What started as a simple invitation for our community to reflect, dream, and share has become something truly meaningful. Every message written on the wall tells a story—of hope, love, adventure, gratitude, and the things that matter most.
We are grateful to everyone who has stopped by to add their voice and help make this project such a special part of our community. If you haven't visited yet, there's still plenty of space to share your own answer to the question:

The Witzke family’s history in funeral service began in 1912 when Craig Witzke’s great-grandfather opened the family’s first funeral home in Baltimore. Four generations later, Craig opened Candle Light Funeral Home in 2014 to continue that tradition of personalized, family-centered care. The Candle Light Funeral Home is unaffiliated with any other Witzke funeral home’s in the area.
While some funeral homes today are owned by large corporations with decisions made outside the community, family-owned funeral homes remain deeply rooted in the neighborhoods they serve.
Because when you walk through our doors, you’re not just another number.
You’re neighbors.
You’re family.
And caring for families isn’t simply what we do — it’s who we are.
