Clinical Counselor – Mental Health America of South Carolina

Job Title: Clinical Counselor

Location: Bridges Clubhouse Day Treatment Program (on-site): Mental Health America of South Carolina - Cayce, SC

About the Program: Bridges Clubhouse is a day treatment program supporting adults with severe and persistent mental illness. We provide Community Integration Services (CIS) through a structured schedule of group interventions and activities designed to build life skills, coping strategies, and support long-term recovery.

Position Summary: MHASC is seeking a full-time Clinical Counselor to join the Bridges Clubhouse clinical team. The Clinical Counselor will provide assessments, develop treatment plans, deliver therapeutic interventions (individual and group), and document clinical services for members of the program. This role requires close collaboration with clinicians and program staff to support members’ recovery and community integration.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or a related human services field from an accredited college or university. (Master’s preferred.)
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in social services or working with people with psychiatric disabilities.
• Licensure or certification per state requirements (if applicable) - preferred but dependent on degree and credentialing.
