๐Ÿ“ข Changes to Medicaid coverage are coming in 2027.

Starting January 1, 2027, some adults ages 19โ€“64 who receive Medicaid will need to meet new work or community engagement requirements to maintain their coverage. Activities such as working, attending school, volunteering, or participating in job training may count toward these requirements. Some individuals will be exempt.

While these changes are not in effect yet, now is a good time to stay informed and make sure your contact information is up to date so you donโ€™t miss important updates about your coverage.

๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ The Power of a Post-Meal Walk! ๐ŸŒฟ

Looking for a simple way to add more movement to your day? Try taking a short walk after a meal!

A 15-minute post-meal walk can help reduce blood sugar spikes after eating. Walking can also support digestion, break up long periods of sitting, and contribute to overall heart health. ๐Ÿ’™

The best part? It doesnโ€™t have to be complicated! Take a lap around the block after breakfast, step away from your desk for a quick walk at lunch, or enjoy a relaxing stroll after dinner. Every step counts! ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ

๐Ÿ‘‰ Want to learn more about the benefits of post-meal walks and get ideas for making them part of your routine?

๐Ÿ’œ Recognizing the Warning Signs Can Make a Difference. ๐Ÿ’œ

Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to recognize the signs that someone may be experiencing a mental health or substance use challenge and, most importantly, how to respond.

Through Mental Health First Aid, youโ€™ll learn how to:
๐Ÿง  Recognize warning signs and symptoms
๐Ÿ’ฌ Start a supportive conversation
๐Ÿค Provide initial support
๐Ÿ”— Connect people with appropriate resources and professional help

You donโ€™t have to be an expert to make a difference. Learning how to recognize the signs and knowing what to do next can help you be there for someone when they need it most.
