I’ve been so overwhelmed by the support since my TEDx talk went up. Honestly, I wasn’t prepared for how many of you would reach out and tell me a piece of this story is yours too.

That’s the thing…my story was never mine alone to tell. It belongs to everyone who’s felt burnout and needed permission to rest.

For the third summer in a row, The Aura House has partnered with Cedar Hill Parks & Recreation to bring Float & Sound therapy to the Southwest Dallas community.

These session have sold out for 3 summers in a row!

But summer doesn’t have to be the only season for rest.

We’re on the hunt for a community partner who wants to help us bring Float & Sound to Southwest Dallas year-round — because wellness shouldn’t take a break just because the season changes.

People always ask me — “Why yoga? How did you end up there?” 🧘🏾‍♀️

And honestly? It wasn’t a wellness trend. It wasn’t aesthetic. It was survival.

I came to yoga in one of the hardest seasons of my life. Depleted. Overwhelmed. Carrying weight I didn’t even have a name for yet.

And what I found on that mat gave me something I didn’t know I had been missing — permission. To slow down. To breathe. To stop performing strength and actually feel it.

That story is the reason I became a yoga professional. It’s the reason I show up for my community the way I do. And it’s the reason I walked onto a TEDx stage and told the whole truth.

Last week at Yoga Alliance HQ left me full — full of gratitude, clarity, and a reminder of exactly WHY I do what I do

I got to share a project that’s been close to my heart with my team. But the moment that hit different? Sitting down with the owner of Yess Yoga . Minneapolis and hearing how she poured her studio into her community when they needed it most.

It confirmed everything I believe about what The Aura House is and is meant to be — not just a place to practice, but a place to belong.

Sometimes you look at other studios and wonder if you’re doing it right because yours doesn’t look like theirs. And then the universe sends you a moment like this one — and you just know.

We are on the right path.
