Last week reaffirmed something I deeply believe: strong communities are built on strong people, and our first responders carry more than their share of that weight.

Providing resilience training to those who protect and serve is a privilege in itself. Doing this alongside individuals with decades of military, law enforcement, and crisis‑response experience adds a level of humility and gratitude that’s hard to put into words. (Thank you Bob VandePol, Doug Shannon & JJ Mootz!)

The stories shared in this room remind us that resilience isn’t about being broken--or being unbreakable. It’s about staying connected to purpose, to each other, and to the communities we serve.

My hope is that we all find ways to invest in the people who invest so much in us.

Excited and grateful to see this new children's book reach so many readers!

Thank you to all who have supported this initiative to equip youth with resilience and life skills.

Check out this insightful article by Dr Lisa Cherry, a specialist on kids in the care system, about the role shared reading can play in fostering a sense of belonging -- through co-regulation, attunement, and attachment: https://drlisacherry.substack.com/p/cultivating-belonging-through-shared

Given continued sales and the value of this resource, we're extending special launch pricing so if you haven't yet ordered your copy, please join us - and share this resource with others!

Thank you to everyone who supported the launch of 'We THRIVE Together'.

How might a child’s life be improved if they learned how to cope with stress and use it to grow stronger, leaning on trusted relationships along the way?

Celebrating today's release of my first children’s book as a way to contribute to a better answer for all kids: bit.ly/4eRXYiv

Please join our nonprofit Worldmaker Resilience Institute in buying/gifting a copy, leaving a review, and sharing this post with your network to invite them to come alongside us.

The more momentum we can collectively create on the book’s release, the more kids and families we’ll be able to reach over the long term.

Thanks for joining us in this youth resilience mission!

🌿 Dreaming of a Costa Rica Adventure? 🌎
This summer, I’ll be leading a deeply immersive experiential journey through Costa Rica’s vibrant ecosystems and cultures—an invitation to slow down, reconnect with your truest nature, and form meaningful connections with others along the way.
Guided by trusted local partners and rooted in authentic, community based experiences, this adventure will take us from misty mountain landscapes to lush rainforests, natural hot springs, and Tortuguero Island, where green sea turtles nest.
✨ Good to know: A couple spots just opened due to a health-related cancellation, creating a rare opportunity to join us. Dates: 31 July – 11 Aug, 2026.
If this sparks something for you, send me a DM and I’ll be happy to share details!

Happy International Women’s Day. Today is a reminder to celebrate how far we’ve come—and commit to the work that remains to build a world rooted in equity and justice. This work starts in our own communities while also supporting the global policies and systems that protect and empower women and girls to thrive.

I was grateful to spend part of this weekend teaching the THRIVE Resilience Program to an inspiring group of women worldmakers. Thank you to Tri-State Women Warriors and NICC for hosting such a powerful gathering.

On a personal note, I’m honoring my lineage of strong women. From my grandmother who raised eight children as a young widow to my mom who despite the challenges she faced in the world she grew up in, taught me from a young age that I could be anything I wanted to be—and to always set the bar high.

A really useful conversation on increasing engagement and belonging - led by award winning educators who embrace all students in the classroom with high expectations and love. A disclaimer - or perhaps a proud mama brag, depending how you look at it – one of these extraordinary teachers is my daughter. Walking into the Unknown

Stepping away from my work for the longest break since cancer treatment five years ago, so I've been thinking about the benefits of intentionally creating some liminal or “in between” spaces in life.

I am off to walk the Camino de Santiago through Portugal and Spain with my oldest daughter. Although it’s never easy to detach from day-to-day life, this ultimately is what will create more for me and for those I love and am here to help.

Walking a few hundred kilometers through unstructured days undoubtedly will create space to learn new things about myself and my desire to serve others.

Looking forward to connecting on the other side. For now, I’m off to walk (literally) the talk…
