You do not have to be having hot flashes to be in perimenopause. 💛

Hot flashes are a late sign — often not appearing until you are within one or two years of your last period. The early signs look like worsening PMS, shorter cycles, new anxiety, and heavier periods. And they can begin in your mid-to-late 30s.

“Dr. Minjeur is so wonderful and knowledgeable when it comes to Restorative Reproductive Medicine!! She dug into labs that other practitioners hadn’t and was able to identify the root cause of my hormonal issues after I’d been struggling for almost a year. When life and stress caused more problems, she was able to help support my body with what it needed through that time and I’m finally starting to feel like myself again.

She is very thorough at each visit and goes over labs and recommendations in detail, taking time to make sure you’re understanding everything that’s being covered. I’m so grateful to be working with Dr. Minjeur and highly recommend Radiant Clinic for any women’s health needs.” - Diane

Diane spent almost a year struggling with hormonal issues before getting the deeper evaluation she needed.

If you’re still searching for answers, we’d love to help you find your next step.

Vitamin D isn’t just a vitamin—it actually functions as a hormone, with receptors throughout the ovaries, uterus, placenta, and immune system.

When vitamin D is low, it can affect follicle development, endometrial thickness, the immune response needed for implantation, and conditions like PCOS and thyroid antibodies.

And here’s something important: the lab’s “normal” range was established for bone health—not fertility. For reproductive health, we’re looking for levels closer to 50 ng/mL.

Vitamin D levels during pregnancy matter for baby’s long-term health, too.

If you’re trying to conceive or preparing for pregnancy, knowing your vitamin D level can be an important part of the bigger picture.

Did you know your vitamin D levels during pregnancy may impact your baby’s health years into the future?

Tthe standard 400 IU found in many prenatal vitamins may not be enough to reach optimal levels.

Testing your vitamin D and supplementing appropriately before and during pregnancy can be a simple but important part of supporting both mom and baby.

Vitamin D might be one of the most overlooked pieces of a fertility workup.

It’s not just a vitamin—it functions as a hormone, with receptors throughout the ovaries, uterus, placenta, and immune system. And when levels are low, it may impact follicle development, implantation, pregnancy, and more.

In this week’s episode of Cycle Wisdom, Dr. Monica Minjeur breaks down:
• Why vitamin D matters for reproductive health
• The difference between “normal” and optimal levels
• Why your prenatal may not contain enough
• What to look for in a vitamin D supplement
• Why vitamin D during pregnancy matters for baby, too

If your vitamin D has never been checked as part of your fertility evaluation, it may be a piece worth investigating.
