International Retainer Day Recap: Keep Your Retainer Clean & Happy!

Retainer care is easy to overlook , but a little daily maintenance goes a long way!

Here are our top tips:
🧼 Cleaning
✅ Rinse with cool or lukewarm water right after removal
✅Gently brush with a soft toothbrush + a small amount of clear, mild liquid soap
✅Rinse thoroughly before popping it back in your mouth
✅Deep clean weekly with a retainer-cleaning solution (follow product instructions!)

🚫 Avoid
✅Hot or boiling water
✅Abrasive toothpaste
✅Bleach or alcohol-based cleaners
✅Mouthwash (can be abrasive too!)

📦 Storage
✅Always store in a protective case when not in use
✅Let it air-dry for 1–2 minutes before closing the case
✅Keep away from pets 🐶
✅Keep away from excessive heat
✅Never wrap in a napkin or tissue, it's an easy way to lose it in the trash!
