Pre-planning doesn't have to be overwhelming. Start by asking yourself these 7 questions:

1. What service do I want?
2. Where do I want my final resting place to be?
3. What kind of service feels right: traditional, celebration of life, or something in between?
4. Is there music, readings, or a location that's meaningful to me?
5. Who do I want involved in the planning?
6. Have I told my family what I want?
7. Is there anything I definitely don't want?

You don't need all the answers right now. But starting the conversation, even with yourself, is the first step.

When someone is grieving, it's hard to know what to do.

Here's what actually helps:
Show up. You don't need the perfect words. Bring food. Don't ask, just bring it. Say their loved one's name. They want to hear it. Check in at the 3 week mark. Listen more than you talk.

You don't have to be perfect. You just have to show up.

One of the most common misconceptions we hear: "If I choose cremation, there's no funeral."

That's not true.

Cremation is simply what happens to the body. It doesn't dictate whether or how you gather. You can still have a memorial service, a viewing, a graveside ceremony, a celebration of life, or a private family gathering. Some families hold services before cremation, some after, some both.

Cremation gives you flexibility, not fewer options.

Today we remember.

The ones who served.
The ones who sacrificed.
The ones who never made it home.
And the ones we've lost along the way.

Thank you. We won't forget. πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

What song reminds you of someone you love?

Maybe it's the one that played at their wedding. The one they always sang in the car. The one you can't hear without thinking of them.

Music has a way of holding people for us.

You've probably heard the term "celebration of life" but what does it actually mean?

It's a service focused on honoring how someone lived, not just marking their passing. Favorite music instead of hymns. Stories and laughter alongside tears. Personal touches that feel true to who they were.

There's no single right way to say goodbye. More families are choosing services that reflect the person they're honoring.

Curious what that could look like? We're happy to talk.

It's one less phone call they'll have to make while grieving. One less decision when they can barely think straight. One less thing to wonder about.

When you make a plan, you give your family something they can't get anywhere else: certainty.
