Helping you move better, feel better, and function at your best.

If it improves your mood, movement, or mojo—I’m here for it. ❤️‍🔥🧠🦴 Have you always admired the long lean look of a ballerina's body? Barre will help you achieve that look in a low-impact class ideal for EVERY body and fitness level. Barre is a blend of strength training, interval *low impact* cardio and stretching. This ballet-inspired workout focuses on incredibly efficient movements. In a barre

class, we’ll spend several minutes holding and working with tiny pulses in a small range of motion until our muscles not only burn but also shake with fatigue. Each muscle group is stretched immediately after it’s worked which sculpts long, lean muscles and provides recovery to decrease soreness.

There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to your health.

So why do we approach healthcare like there is?

The same workout.
The same supplement.
The same nutrition advice.
The same “normal” lab range.
The same treatment plan.

Your biology is individual. Your healthcare should be, too.

Genetic information is one piece of that puzzle.

It can offer insight into biological pathways related to inflammation, oxidative stress, connective tissue, muscle performance and recovery—but it’s not the whole story.

Your nutrition.
Your sleep.
Your training.
Your hormones.
Your lifestyle.
Your history.
Your goals.

All of it matters.

That’s the philosophy behind healthcare a la carte.

Not doing everything.
Not chasing every trend.
Not adding another supplement just because someone on the internet said you need it.

Choosing what makes sense for YOU.

Because personalized healthcare shouldn't mean doing more.

It should mean doing what matters 🧬

I wasn’t sure if I wanted to share this publicly, but if it helps even one woman feel less alone, it’ll be worth it.

I kissed my uterus, and all her baggage, goodbye yesterday 😘

Having worked with women’s hormones for several years now, I spend a lot of time helping others navigate their health. But when it came to making this decision for myself, it wasn’t as simple as I once assumed.

This surgery wasn’t just about one thing. My symptoms included irregular cycles, pelvic pain, and painful sex—things I had been trying to understand and manage for a while.

On ultrasound, they found adenomyosis (the likely cause), and I was also diagnosed with fibroids.

I’ll be honest—I initially took that diagnosis very personally. I found myself wondering what I had done “wrong.”

Had my diet not been good enough? Had I been too lax about certain exposures? Should I have done something differently?

And if I’m being completely honest… after years of disappointment, there was a part of me that felt like my uterus was giving me one final middle finger at the end of her stay.

The irony wasn’t lost on me. The very organ that had carried so many hopes, dreams, and memories was also the source of so much pain and uncertainty.

As someone who has spent years studying women’s health, hormones, nutrition, and lifestyle factors, this was a humbling reminder that knowledge does not always equal control.

Our choices matter. How we nourish ourselves, move our bodies, manage stress, and reduce harmful exposures can support our health—but it does not make us immune from biology, genetics, aging, or conditions we don’t fully understand.

I’ve had to work through letting go of that self-blame and accepting that women’s health is far more complex than that.

I knew this was the right decision medically.

What surprised me was the emotion.

After years of infertility, including secondary infertility, I thought I had already grieved the idea of having more children.

I thought.

But there’s something about saying goodbye to a part of your body that has carried so many hopes, dreams, and memories. The right decision can still come with sadness. Relief and grief can exist at the same time.

I cried when I saw my final negative pregnancy test right before surgery. If I had a dime for every negative test I’ve seen over the years… 💔

Then came ALL the tears in recovery. God bless my PACU nurse, who gently reminded me that everything I was feeling was completely normal ❤️‍🩹

I’m incredibly grateful for the OR team who cared for me. After spending so many years working side by side with OR nurses and surgical teams, it was a very different feeling to be the one on the table. They made me feel safe, cared for, and surrounded by people who truly understood.

I was fortunate to know my anesthesia provider (and specifically requested her), and I had complete confidence in the surgeon I chose.

I’m sharing this because I know I’m not the only woman who has walked this road—not just infertility, but also perimenopause, symptoms that haven’t always been heard or validated, postpartum experiences, and thoughts we don’t always feel safe saying out loud.

If you’re struggling with symptoms affecting your quality of life, don’t settle. Ask questions. Find a provider who listens. Explore your options. Every woman’s journey is different.

I’m incredibly grateful for my village—especially my IF Table girls, who watched me ugly cry in a coffee shop not too long ago. I had been carrying so much of this quietly, sharing it mostly with my husband, and I didn’t realize how healing it would be to finally say it out loud.

For now, my job is to rest, heal, and be patient with my body (if you know me, you know that’s a lot to ask 😅)

Here’s to the next chapter — one with less pain, more freedom, and a whole lot of gratitude for the body that carried me here 💜

Four years.

That’s all that separates these two photos.

One was taken when I climbed into my lifelong friend Sonia’s hospital bed at Mayo Clinic before she underwent a heart and kidney transplant.

The other was taken today.

At first glance, it’s just two middle-aged friends smiling for a picture.

But to me, it’s so much more 🥹

Four years ago, we didn’t know what the future would hold. What I did know was this: Sonia never stopped fighting. She advocated for herself. She endured more than most of us can imagine. She held onto hope when it would have been so much easier to give in.

Today, she’s living the life she fought so hard for—traveling, making memories, embracing every opportunity, and reminding everyone who knows her what resilience truly looks like.

As a nurse practitioner, I see firsthand what modern medicine can accomplish. But Sonia’s story is also a reminder that medicine can’t do it alone. Her life today is possible because she refused to give up, because an extraordinary medical team made the impossible possible, and because someone chose to become an organ donor—and a family honored that decision during one of the hardest moments imaginable.

Because of that gift…

She gets more birthdays.
More adventures.
More sunsets.
More ordinary moments that become extraordinary.

And I get more time with one of my oldest friends.

Sonia, I have always admired your strength, but watching you come through this chapter has deepened that admiration in ways I can’t put into words. Thank you for showing all of us what courage, perseverance, and gratitude look like.

If you’re an organ donor, thank you.

If you’re not, I hope you’ll consider becoming one.

One decision can become someone else’s second chance 💙💚

This year’s birthday wish is pretty simple… help our city's sweet homeless animals 🐾💜

The Cedar Valley Humane Society’s 16th Annual Drives for Lives Golf Outing happens to be on my birthday, August 13, and I’d love to help make it their biggest event yet!

I’m sharing a few of my favorite sponsor signs from last year’s event featuring our sweet pups. 🐶💕 If you’ve ever thought about supporting the Humane Society, this is a wonderful way to do it.

For just $50, you can sponsor a hole in honor of your family, your pets, a loved one, or even your business. Every sponsorship helps provide food, medical care, shelter, and supplies for animals waiting for their forever homes.

If a sponsorship isn’t in the cards, golfers, donations, and sharing this post all make a difference too!

The conversation around advanced therapies is growing — and I think that’s a good thing ✨

We have more tools available than ever before: peptides, hormone optimization, metabolic therapies, and other emerging approaches.

But the foundation still matters 🌿

😴 Sleep
🥩 Nutrition & protein
💪 Strength training
🧬 Metabolic health
✨ Recovery

These aren’t the “basic” things. They are the things everything else is built on.

I’m excited to continue expanding my education in peptide therapy and longevity medicine because I believe the best care comes from combining innovation with a thoughtful, individualized approach 🧠✨

The goal isn’t chasing the newest trend.

It’s using the right tools, for the right person, at the right time. 🤍

The future of personalized medicine is exciting — but the foundation will always matter.

Can you tell which shoulder we replaced? 👀

This patient is just 12 weeks out from a reverse total shoulder replacement and already reaching to her thoracic spine with both arms!

Outcomes like this don’t happen by chance. They reflect a successful surgery, a committed patient, and a dedicated physical therapy team all working toward the same goal.

Every patient heals at their own pace, but celebrating milestones like this never gets old.

So… which side do you think we operated on? ⬇️

Happy Father's Day 💙

Father's Day has always been a little complicated for me.

I've spent years admiring the incredible dads and stepdads in my life and community while also navigating the reality that not everyone has the father-child relationship they hoped for. Sometimes the people who are supposed to be there simply aren't. Sometimes distance, addiction, loss, or life's circumstances leave a space that never quite feels filled.

Today, I'm celebrating the men who show up consistently—whether they are fathers, stepfathers, grandfathers, mentors, or father figures. The ones who attend the games, answer the phone calls, teach life's lessons, offer a steady hand, and love without keeping score.

I'm especially grateful for the stepdads who choose this role willingly. Loving a child who isn't biologically yours takes a special kind of commitment, and the positive impact you have reaches further than you may ever know.

And for those who find today difficult—for whatever reason—you're not alone. Holidays can bring gratitude and grief, joy and sadness, sometimes all at once. If you're missing someone, grieving the relationship you wish you had, navigating family complexities, or simply trying to make it through the day, I'm holding space for you too.

Wishing peace, love, and healing to all who need it today ✨

Sometimes family is who raises us. Sometimes it's who chooses us. And sometimes it's the people who show up, day after day, with love.

Thankful for the brave men and women who answered the call, protected this country, and sacrificed for our freedom ❤️🤍💙

24 hours in Tampa and I’m coming home with a new non-narcotic pain management tool in my pocket 👊🏼

Spent the weekend training on Iovera — a technique that can help reduce pain signaling before knee or shoulder surgery, and in select cases offer an option for patients who aren’t surgical candidates.

I’m always looking for ways to support pain control that minimize reliance on medications that can carry risks like dependence, or long-term effects on the kidneys, liver, and GI system when used chronically.

This is another really interesting addition to the toolbox as we continue focusing on recovery, function, and overall patient experience.

Excited to bring this back to clinic—now with four providers at PCI offering this treatment.

Huge thanks to for an excellent learning experience and for continuing to invest in education that translates into better patient care 🙏
