One of the most common questions we get is, "When should I have my first gynecology appointment?"

The answer might surprise you! The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists recommends a first gynecology visit between ages 13–15. Most first appointments are simply a conversation - a chance to get to know your provider, ask questions, and talk about your health.

Another question we hear often is about Pap tests. For most individuals, Pap tests begin at age 21, unless your provider recommends screening sooner.
