I'm probably the odd man or woman out here…

But when a client comes in and is complaining of joint pain and arthritis, my head right away thinks, "What's going on under the surface?"

The part that we cannot see.

Our gut microbiome, requires both balance and variety.

When I see inflammatory, angry bacteria hanging out in the gut, that can actually create an environment for joint pain and arthritis to manifest.

It might not be the normal standard way of thinking….

But I know way too much to not talk about this.

Jenna and I just got back from an incredible weekend.

We spent 18 hours diving deep into Myofascial Lymphatic Drainage.

I’ve been offering Lymphatic Drainage for a couple of years now but this certification opened my eyes to a whole new level of care.

What you can expect from a session is reduced fluid retention, headaches, sinus or allergy relief, and chronic stress.

This is also great for immune support after you’ve recovered from the cold or flu and post-surgery care.

Here’s what blew me away, not only will this support your nervous and lymphatic system but if you struggle with diverticulosis, IBS, bloating, or constipation, this is for you!

We’re taking a few weeks to practice our skills but if you have any questions about Myofascial Lymphatic Drainage, we’re here to help.

Lindsey will be finishing her training later this year, as well.

We’re staying in for the day while this cold front passes through. Even our chickens don’t want to leave the warmth of their coop!

There’s a strange stretch of days right after Christmas.

The rush is over.
The house is quieter.
And your body finally gets a word in.

That’s usually when people notice things like:
Oh… I’m exhausted.
Oh… my neck is angry.
Oh… I’ve been holding a lot.

Nothing dramatic happened.
Your body just stopped being distracted.

If you’re in that space, we do have a few open appointments this week —

Your body doesn’t need a full reset this week.

It just needs a few places to soften.
A pause before the next thing.
A moment where nothing is being asked of you.

December is loud in ways we don’t always notice.
The calendar.
The noise.
The constant on-ness.

Sometimes calm doesn’t look like time off.
It looks like lighting a candle.
Taking one deeper breath.
Letting your shoulders drop for ten seconds longer than usual.

Those moments count more than you think.

Sarah noticed hers standing in her kitchen, staring at the fridge, already tired of deciding what to eat…
even though the day had barely started.

In past years, she would’ve powered through.
Grabbed whatever was fastest.
Ignored the signal and kept going.

This year looked different.

Her body had more support going into the season—
hands-on care that helped her feel grounded in her body again,
and simple food rhythms that kept her from swinging between “fine” and “fried.”

So when that white flag showed up, she didn’t override it.

She paused.
She ate something that actually held her.
She let her body stay steady instead of scrambling.

Nothing dramatic changed about December.
The calendar was still full.
The expectations were still there.

But her body didn’t feel like it was constantly waving for help.

Sometimes care isn’t about fixing what’s wrong.
It’s about noticing the moment sooner—and responding with kindness instead of force.
