Have you heard about this new funeral home scam?

The staff at Olin L. Gammage and Sons Funeral Home have learned and heard of recent scams that are targeting grieving families who have recently lost a loved one. Scammers are gathering information from funeral homes websites to use to contact families and asking for additional payments. These individuals pose as funeral directors from our funeral home speaking with families that have used our services, and then falsely inform them that more funds are needed for the services that were provided.

Gammage Funeral Home cares deeply about our community, so we would like you to be aware of a few things:


*A funeral home will never call you after the funeral asking you for money.

*A funeral home will give you an exact price before any services are provided. You have the option to decide to pay in full at the time of need or explore other options.

*If you receive a suspicious phone call from a funeral home, please inform them you will return their call, hang up and call the funeral home yourself to verify if what you have been told is true.
