Here are some simple yet impactful tips for better including friends with hearing loss:

1️⃣ Face them when speaking: Direct communication fosters better understanding.
2️⃣ Choose well-lit environments: Good lighting aids in visual cues.
3️⃣ Speak clearly and at a moderate pace: Avoid rushing or mumbling, ensuring clarity without shouting.
4️⃣ Maintain proximity: Avoid talking from another room to maintain connection.
5️⃣ Minimize background noise: Reduce distractions for easier communication.

By incorporating these practices into your interactions, you create a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone.

🌟 Congratulations to Jada Highley! 🌟

Jada was selected as the recipient of the Allie Gray “Be Real, Not Perfect” Scholarship, a $250 scholarship generous donated by Dr. Ellen Hunter of Family Audiology, and given to a Teen contestant who exemplifies authenticity, resilience, and heart throughout the competition.

This scholarship honors the spirit of being genuine — showing up as your true self, supporting others, and embracing the beauty in imperfection. Jada did just that, and we’re so proud to recognize her with this special award. 💗

Keep being real, Jada — it’s one of your greatest strengths. 💫

Hearing health is more than just volume! It’s about staying connected to the people and moments you love most. 👂✨

If conversations seem harder to follow or sounds aren’t as clear as they used to be, it may be time for a hearing check.

🎆 Fireworks are fun.
Permanent hearing damage? Not so much.

A single fireworks blast can reach up to 160 decibels, loud enough to harm big and little ears in seconds. Children’s ears are still developing, so those booming finales can sound even louder to them. 👂💥

Before you head out to celebrate, make sure both your and your kids’ hearing is protected with proper hearing protection (earmuffs, earplugs, etc.). Keep at a safe distance, and make a game plan for quieter breaks.

Your holiday memories should last forever; hearing damage should not. 🎇
Contact us. We’re happy to help get you the right protection.

Hearing loss doesn’t always show up the way you expect:

👂 Struggling to follow conversations in noise
🔉 Asking others to repeat themselves
💤 Feeling tired after social interactions
📢 Turning up the volume more than others prefer

These small changes are easy to overlook, but they can add up over time.
If this sounds familiar, it may be time to reach out to us.
