Meet our new Nursing Supervisor: Maggie Knapke, RN ❤️🩺 She will be supervising our Celina & Wapak offices!

What made you want to become a nurse?

I became a nurse to help people improve their medical conditions. My aunt was a nurse and a very caring person. I looked up to her and wanted to be like her. 🩺

What encouraged you to want to join the CHP team?

I was interested in becoming a nurse at CHP because of the strong leadership and dedication among the team. Home care is a great field of nursing to be a part of, and I was interested in becoming a hospice nurse as well. ❤️

What do you enjoy most about working with patients and families?

I enjoy seeing the progress patients make. Each patient has a story to be told, and they each offer a new learning experience.

What are you especially excited about in your new role at CHP?

I’m excited to experience new challenges and growth in my career at CHP.

What do you hope to bring to the CHP team and the patients you serve?

I hope to become a strong addition to the CHP leadership team by helping patients achieve their goals and by supporting the staff in continuing to give the great care that they provide. 🤝

Where are you from?

I’m from Versailles, Ohio. 😊

Tell us a little about your family:

I have three children, two girls and a boy. They are 19, 16, and 14. My oldest attends The University of Findlay and is majoring in Social Work. My second child stays busy with cheerleading and color guard. My youngest participates in track and is looking forward to joining the golf team. We also have a 2-year-old male Lab who is very lovable and full of energy. I have a boyfriend who is very supportive and has been my number-one encourager as I’ve started my journey at CHP.

What do you like to do when you’re not working?

I enjoy going camping when I’m not working. That’s how I spend most of my weekends during camping season. I also enjoy going on walks with my family. 🏕️

What is your favorite hobby or activity?

My favorite activity is spending time with my family and friends, whether it be a simple get-together, camping, or a special occasion. I enjoy watching my children participate in extracurricular activities as well. One of these days, I would like to develop some skill in golfing!

Our Adult Day Center is a daytime, medically monitored program where our clients can socialize, participate in activities, and receive care throughout the day while their caregivers receive much-needed respite. We have so much fun together and love creating a place where our clients feel cared for, connected, and included! 💙

💚 Because of our community, our seniors and adults with disabilities get to keep doing more of what they love.

Our Celina Adult Day Center provides a safe, caring day time space clients can spend their day, enjoy nutritious meals and activities, personal hygiene care, receive nursing support, socialize, and give their caregivers some much-needed respite.

☀️ Each summer, we hold our ‘Sponsor a Need’ campaign and share some of the things we need to continue creating meaningful days for the people we serve. A letter typically goes out in June or July to the Celina area businesses/organizations. Annual grants from Celina-Mercer County Combined Services Appeal & Mercer County Civic Foundation help keeps costs affordable for our community members as we also provide transport to and from our center.

Thanks to the donors, this means more activities and more moments that enhance quality of life. Thank you, Celina, for showing up for our Adult Day Center. We truly have the best community around! chp-adc.org

Sometimes you have to stop and smell the flowers 💐 🤗🌼🌸 We love our Adult Day Center clients!

Every summer, we do a sponsor need campaign, helping out with the things we need for our center. Being a nonprofit, we rely on donations and grants to help offset costs for our clients and families. We will always take anything that you are getting rid of such as puzzles, games, (right now we need a stationary bike, and a desktop computer) or monetarily sponsoring one of our needs right here in Celina 💚

A heartfelt thank you to Durnell Maier Law, LLC for being our first sponsor this Summer! We appreciate your charitable contribution to our Adult Day Center in Celina, OH. Our day center is a safe, medically monitored day program where adult clients can socialize, enjoy parties, activities, mentally stimulated, and most importantly give caregivers respite. We also provide transportation in our handicap/wheelchair accessible vans. We are here locally, and have been a nonprofit for over 20 years. The individuals featured on this flyer are our actual clients-local seniors who enjoy friendship, engaging activities, and a safe, welcoming place to spend their day.

We’re inviting our community to help us continue providing meaningful experiences by sponsoring a special need, such as outings, birthday celebrations, technology, exercise equipment, and more. Every dollar stays right here at our Adult Day Center and directly benefits our clients.
