Your body was MADE for this. Don't underestimate yourself, stay calm, and allow your body to do what it has to get your baby to you.

Have you heard of fetal ejection reflex? If you feel safe in your birthing space, your body will push your baby out in two or three powerful contractions! Remember that 10cm doesn't always mean ready to push! By pushing when your body feels the urge, you ensure your body is ready! It reduces pushing times, which can be very exhausting! Make sure to state in your birth plan your prefer spontaneous pushing if that's something you'd like to do!

Creating a personal birth plan will prepare you for birth by allowing you to become familiar with the pros and cons of each option available to you and help you create the best experience for you and baby.

What should a birth plan look like? Once you learn about all your options and make your choices, make a shortened summary of everything you chose! A birth plan should be less than a page long. Make copies so you can make sure all of your birth team has a copy!
