As summer gives way to a new academic year, a familiar ritual begins. New schedules. New ambitions. New opportunities to redefine personal style. For today's generation, going back to school is no longer simply about returning to the classroom. It is about identity.

Fashion has become an essential form of self-expression for young consumers, and eyewear has evolved far beyond its functional role. Frames are now one of the most visible accessories in everyday life, helping shape first impressions and communicate personality. Recognizing this shift, Bravewear presents its FW26 Back-to-School selection, a collection inspired by the rhythm of urban life and designed for young people who want to look contemporary, confident and effortlessly stylish.

The collection explores two distinct design directions that reflect some of the strongest eyewear trends of the season.

With Nordic Tide, Colibris presents a frame line that captures the quiet power and constant change of Nordic coastal landscapes. Inspired by the tides – the interplay of ebb and flow – clear forms and striking details emerge, bringing movement and depth to the design. Nordic Tide comprises four expressive, feminine models for narrow faces – bold in form, yet refined in proportion.

The collection is characterized by generous silhouettes, a wide frame rim and precisely worked bevels on the front, which catch the light in a distinctive way and give each frame a modern, dynamic presence. The result is a compelling interplay of edges, surfaces and perspectives – much like the shifting textures of the sea itself.

The frames are crafted from Mazzucchelli acetate from Italy, processed in Germany. An exclusive detail is the temple inlays, made specially for Colibris, which subtly shine through the transparent shades, revealing the craftsmanship and depth of the material.

For decades, acetate has been the canvas for self-expression, while metal has largely been defined by engineering and restraint. OGI believes that true style doesn’t have to choose between creativity and clarity.

The Fall 2026 collection explores a new direction for metals — one where thoughtful color, architectural construction, and meticulous craftsmanship work together to create frames that feel as emotive as they are refined.

“We didn’t set out to simply make metal more colorful. We wanted to give it the same emotional resonance we’ve always brought to acetate, to make precision feel more personal, expressive and human,” says David Duralde, Designer and chief Creative Officer of The Optical Foundry.

The collection introduces crisp silver finishes paired with hand-painted color accents that bring warmth and personality to every frame.

Following the launch of the Welcome to Eyewearland communication campaign, MIDO takes another step forward in the evolution of its identity, introducing a new element that will define the show in the years to come: the Eyewearland Milano payoff.

This marks a major image evolution after many years and further strengthens MIDO’s positioning as an ecosystem, rather than simply a trade show. Eyewearland Milano captures the idea of a place where business, innovation, creativity, research, manufacturing, distribution and education come together, creating the most comprehensive representation of the entire eyewear supply chain. MIDO is, in fact, the only event in the world that brings together all the key players in the industry: from frame and lens manufacturers to machinery and raw materials; from major multinationals to small, innovative companies; from established and emerging designers to start-ups and accessories.

The latest collection from Lowercase introduces four new styles inspired by streets and neighborhoods that have become part of the city’s identity. Herald, Bowery, and Broadway join the sun collection, while Soho becomes the newest optical frame. Different names, different personalities, but the same unmistakable point of view. Clean silhouettes, and an effortless confidence that feels right at home in New York.

Returning favorites Karina, Ariel, Roseland, and the sun style Hustler also arrive in fresh colorways. Signature Lowercase finishes including Oxblood, Ivory Marble, Goldflake, and Irving Sage remain part of the collection, sitting comfortably alongside the new additions.

Every Lowercase frame is handmade in Brooklyn using premium Japanese and Italian acetate. Rich in color, durable by nature, and polished to reveal its depth, it’s a material chosen to be worn for years, not seasons.
