Suzanne had a request, and Cody was more than happy to deliver.

After learning that Cody, our Director of Entertainment & Programming, has been skateboarding since childhood, Suzanne asked if he would put on a demonstration for the community.

What started with a few tricks turned into a conversation about different boards, wheels, riding styles, and Cody’s own history with the sport. Suzanne and Nancy even decided to step onto the board themselves, with a little support nearby.

We love when the interests of our team members become something new for residents to experience, ask questions about, and sometimes even try for themselves. 🛹👏

Art is even better when you can experience it outdoors. ☀️🎨

Our visit to the Museum of Outdoor Art gave residents plenty to see, touch, talk about, and even laugh about! With Colorado sunshine, fascinating sculptures, colorful installations, and a few unexpected surprises along the way, there was something interesting around every corner.

The best part was exploring it all together, sharing reactions, pointing out favorite pieces, and enjoying a beautiful day outside. Sometimes a great adventure is closer to home than you think!

What a paw-some afternoon! 🐾

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our Pawsitive Tales Senior Dog Adoption Event! The community showed up in a big way, giving our senior pups plenty of love and attention throughout the afternoon.

Residents also created handmade dog toys and treats to send home with each foster family as a special thank-you for the care and dedication they give these deserving dogs every day.

A huge thank you to Old Dogs New Digs and Animal Rescue of the Rockies for partnering with us. We loved spending the afternoon together and are already looking forward to what's next...including the possibility of a cat adoption event this October! 🐶🐱

Residents have been hard at work baking homemade dog treats for some very special guests...the sweet senior dogs who will be joining us for our Pawsitive Tales at Peakview adoption event.

Join us on Saturday, July 18, from 11:00am to 2:00pm to meet wonderful senior dogs looking for loving forever homes. Come enjoy a fun afternoon, meet these deserving pups, and maybe even find your new best friend. We can't wait to see you there!

Sometimes the most impactful work we do in the senior living industry has absolutely nothing to do with standard daily operations.

This week our team at Las Palomas Senior Living experienced the true meaning of community when Assisted Living resident Ed received the surprise of a lifetime. His daughter Cathy traveled all the way from Chicago with a breathtaking plan. At seventy years old she was getting married for the very first time and her ultimate dream was to say her vows with her parents watching.

Their incredible staff immediately sprang into action to make it happen. Within a matter of hours, the team managed to secure a priest, a harpist, gorgeous floral arrangements, and a wedding cake.

The Director of Entertainment and Programming even stepped up to photograph the beautiful ceremony while the family captured video. Cathy was able to walk down the aisle with her mother's vintage brooch pinned to her bouquet, completely surrounded by love.

This spectacular afternoon was a beautiful reminder of our true purpose. We do not just manage communities, we actively facilitate life's most meaningful milestones. We are incredibly proud of our team for moving mountains to turn this impromptu dream into a stunning reality.

Congratulations to the happy couple, Cathy and Steve! 🥂✨
