Carol J. Pantea age 86 of Lapeer and formerly of Warren and Crossville, Tennessee died on October 10, 2026. Carol was born in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph and Olga Cross. She was the devoted wife of Robert for over 60 years. Loving mother of David (Laura) Pantea and Brad (Lisa) Pantea. Loving grandmother of Heather (Drew) Purks, Holly and Karli Pantea. She was predeceased by her brothers Larry Cross, Jimmy Holman and sister Violet Novak. Also survived by her sister-in-law Mary Lou Cross, many nieces and nephews. In their younger years, Carol and Bob enjoyed traveling, whether it be up north at the Hubbard Lake cottage or down in Florida celebrating the winter months there. They found much of their enjoyment in retirement in Fairfield Glades near Crossville, Tennessee where they lived for 20 years. Failing health forced their return to Michigan last year. In Tennessee, Carol and Bob found many friends, a new church family and the Elk's that were the center of their activities. Carol loved hiking on the many hiking trails and walking on many unchartered territories with friends. Always busy, she developed a love of gardening, and they ate many of the fresh vegetables grown and picked from their garden. The fruits of their labor and surplus always went to friends in need. A memorial visitation will be held at Rudy Funeral Home 25650 Van D**e in Center Line on Friday, October 16, 2026, from 5 until 8 PM with service at 7 PM. Please visit...

Ray and Sandra later moved and lived in Florida for seventeen years, where he was an organist - choirmaster and teacher at St Andrews Episcopal Church and School in Fort Pierce, Florida.
