This is why it's so important to learn to stand strong in your center—your core of being, the you that you know you are. Your authentic self. Whatever you choose to call it, learn to recognize it, trust it, and stand confidently within it.

When you know who you are, you don't need everyone else to understand your vision or give you permission to follow it. You can listen to others without losing yourself in their opinions.

That's Inner Peace.

And it's something we can learn, practice, and strengthen.

For many, that journey begins with something as simple as meditation or breathwork—learning to quiet the outside noise long enough to hear yourself again.

At Inner Peace, I offer gentle, welcoming classes to help you begin that journey.

Sea otters have a clever way of staying together while they sleep in the ocean. 🦦

These marine mammals often rest in groups called rafts, sometimes gathering in large numbers along the North Pacific coast. But ocean currents can carry them away from one another if they aren’t careful.

Their solution? Kelp.

Sea otters sometimes wrap themselves or their pups in strands of kelp to help keep them from drifting while they rest. It’s a simple trick that helps them stay in place as the water moves around them.

Staying warm is another challenge. Unlike many marine mammals, sea otters rely on exceptionally dense fur rather than a thick layer of blubber to insulate their bodies in cold water.

And when mothers rest with their pups, keeping the little ones close is especially important.

So while the image of otters holding paws is a popular one, their real-life relationship with kelp is just as fascinating.

In the open ocean, even finding a safe place to rest takes a little ingenuity.

Resurfacing from E. Alex Bell to Clyo should wrap up in the next week or two. The right northbound lane may close at times.

Centerville resident Stephen Goldberg's "Images of Africa, South America and Antarctica" is on display in the Police Department lobby (155 W. Spring Valley Rd.). It's open 24 hours a day and free.

Pond dredging at the golf course starts this month and runs through April 2027. The course and roads stay open, but you may notice an occasional odor.
