First, I would like to give a GIANT thank you to everyone who has shared and filled out the community survey for the Columbia Children's Museum. I will post the link again at the bottom of this post, and truthfully I will probably post it again in the near future. It just helps us tremendously to get feedback from the community that we will be serving. It only takes a few minutes to fill it out. As always, please share!

SECOND, and most exciting point of this post 😊, we have received our very first grant award proposal!!!
I can't explain or contain my excitement for this! Somehow, it makes it feel more attainable to be able to produce something magnificent for our community. Every one of us involved have big dreams for what this could be and I am so blessed to be working with such talented individuals.

We have been exploring big ideas for a future Children's Museum in Columbia, MO and would love to get your input! We're gathering feedback to guide the vision for a space that inspires creativity, learning, and play. This quick survey will help us better understand what our community wants to see, e...

Exciting announcement!! Please share the link!!

I have been blessed to be able to work with a group of very talented people to bring a Children's Museum to the Columbia, MO area.

Now that we have received our acceptance letter from the IRS recognizing The Columbia Children's Museum as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit organization, we need your help.

I am linking a short survey, if you could please answer the questions and share, we would greatly appreciate it!

The cat distribution system once again has delivered a small cat to my house šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø

I'm going to have to write a letter to whoever is in charge! We are full at this house.

For the love of Pete, please, someone tell me this baby belongs to you. I think it's a little girl. She's been here since Friday and now thinks she lives HERE. But she does not. She's very sweet, but again, we are FULL! Please share or please send help!

Anyone missing this baby?

Today I’m sharing something incredibly close to my heart. My second workbook, Navigating Grief, is finally complete and available on Amazon — and this one carries a very personal piece of my story.

After losing my little brother, I felt so lost. I didn’t understand what I was feeling, why it changed from day to day, or how to make sense of the stages of grief. I didn't know how long I would feel this way. What was the "normal" grieving process and time frame? I wish I had something gentle and grounding to help me through those early days, months, and years.

That’s why I created this workbook.

My deepest hope is that it brings even a small amount of comfort to someone who needs guidance, reassurance, or simply a place to land.

This is what I learned. Grief is different for everyone. It’s lifelong, it’s life‑changing, and it doesn’t discriminate. You don’t ā€œget overā€ it — you learn to adapt, to grow around it, to become someone new because of it.

If this workbook can help even one person feel less alone in their grief, then it has done what I hoped it would.

Thanks to everyone for the support of my last workbook. I will never be able to express how much it means to me!

Feel free to share!

I have three words to share… Columbia. Children’s. Museum.

What’s this all about? Let me tell you — because I’m so excited!

I’ve been invited to serve on the Board of Directors and help develop a brand‑new Children’s Museum in Columbia, MO. We’re in the early stages of bringing this vision to life, and I’m incredibly grateful for the talented, passionate people I get to collaborate with as we build something truly special for our kiddos, close to home.

Right now, we’re raising the initial funds needed to file for nonprofit status and begin creating proof‑of‑concept exhibits for future pop‑up events and fundraisers.

If you’d like to support our launch, here’s the link to our GoFundMe:

Here is a list of other donations that would be greatly appreciated:

paint (white, shades of blue, black)
sand (kid safe)
seashells
cardboard (large pieces)
lumber
children's wheelbarrows
mosquito netting, fish netting
ship wheels
rope
sand toys
large plastic baby pool
light blue fabric
blow up beach balls

Every contribution, every share, every bit of support helps us take one more step toward building something magical for families in our area.

Thank you for believing in big ideas and bright futures for our kids.
