These awards recognize Health Center Program organizations for achievements in access, clinical quality, health outcomes, and health information technology.

This year, we're especially proud to be recognized with the Gold Health Center Quality Leader Award for the 11th year in a row, placing Cahaba among the top 10% of health centers in the country for clinical quality performance. 🏆

And the recognition doesn't stop there:

For too many families, access to maternity care depends on where they live, and in rural communities, that distance can make all the difference.

Cahaba Medical Care was proud to participate in this video highlighting maternity care deserts across the U.S. and the importance of ensuring mothers and babies have access to quality care close to home. 🤰🏽

We’ve seen firsthand the difference access can make. Through our partnership with Bibb Medical Center, we helped reopen Labor & Delivery services in Bibb County, bringing maternity care back to a rural community that had gone years without local delivery services. That work has made a meaningful impact for families in our community, but we also know there is still much more to be done.

Rural maternity care matters. Every mother deserves access to compassionate, quality care throughout pregnancy, delivery, and beyond, regardless of her ZIP code.

A special thank you to our partners at March of Dimes for helping to draw attention to maternity care deserts and the ongoing need for accessible maternal healthcare in communities across the country. 💜

We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, and we remain committed to building a future where every mom and baby has access to the care they deserve, no matter where they call home.

🎉 This is BIG news for Community Health Centers and for Alabama!

Today, HHS announced a historic $102 million investment to expand the Health Center Program — the first major expansion of the program since 2019!! Across the country, this funding will support 415 new health center sites and help bring high-quality primary care closer to home for nearly 1 million more Americans.

We are incredibly proud that FIVE Alabama health centers are among the 158 organizations nationwide receiving an award!!

“Strong primary care prevents disease and gives Americans greater control over their health,” said HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.

We’re so proud of what our Marion community was able to accomplish during Love Your Neighbor Day! ❤️

More than 400 neighbors were served, with free dental care, new shoes, books, water, food, and health services provided throughout the day.

We’re grateful to everyone who came together to make this possible and to our Cahaba + UAB Frontier Residents for showing up and serving alongside our community partners.
