🎉 Crest View’s new restorative program is off to an amazing
start! 🎉
We’re excited to highlight the incredible work of Dan (right) and Gene (left), our CNAs/Restorative Aides, who are helping launch our new Restorative Program.
What started as a passion for helping residents stay active and independent has quickly grown into something special. Dan and Gene are currently completing specialized training through Select Rehabilitation while actively working with residents throughout the facility.
From walking residents indoors and outdoors, accompanying them to meals and assisting with range-of-motion exercises such as arm bike and NuStep workouts, they're helping residents build strength, confidence and independence.
Dan brings years of experience working with residents and is a strong believer in restorative therapy. After witnessing a resident develop contractures at another facility, he made a commitment to helping prevent similar situations in the future.
"I never wanted to see another resident hurt like that again," he said.
Gene has embraced the program with enthusiasm and is enjoying every minute of helping residents reach their goals.
In just the first week, more than 10 residents have already joined the program and Dan and Gene hope to welcome even more participants soon.
The best part? Seeing the smiles on residents' faces as they gain strength, mobility and confidence through their new routines.
