This week’s monthly Birthday & New Hire Celebration was hosted by our incredible Home Health & Hospice team!

These monthly gatherings are a tradition we look forward to, giving us the chance to welcome new faces, celebrate team members with birthdays, and simply spend time together outside of our day-to-day work. It’s a small way to recognize the people who make Chadron Hospital such a special place to work and receive care.

A huge thank you to our Home Health & Hospice team for hosting a wonderful celebration complete with delicious refreshments, beautiful flowers, and thoughtful welcome gifts for our newest team members. 💙

🇺🇸❤️ Celebrating 250 Years of Freedom, Service, and Compassion ❤️🇺🇸

This Independence Day, Home Health & Hospice, a division of Chadron Hospital, was honored to participate in the Crawford Fourth of July Parade alongside the Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard as our nation celebrates America’s 250th birthday.

Our float, “250 Years: Past to Present,” paid tribute to the generations of nurses who have answered the call to care for others. From the early days of nursing to the compassionate care provided today, nurses have remained a steadfast presence through life’s most challenging and meaningful moments.

As we celebrate 250 years of American independence, we also celebrate the dedication, courage, and compassion of healthcare professionals who continue to make a difference in the lives of patients and families every day. The Nebraska Nurse Honor Guard serves as a beautiful reminder that nursing is more than a profession—it’s a calling rooted in service, dignity, and care.

At Home Health & Hospice, we are proud to carry that tradition forward by bringing skilled nursing care, therapy services, and compassionate hospice support directly to patients in the comfort of their own homes. Our goal is to help patients maintain their independence, improve their quality of life, and receive the care they need close to home.

Thank you to everyone who lined the streets of Crawford, waved, smiled, and celebrated with us. We are proud to serve our communities and honored to carry on a legacy of caring that spans generations.

This Memorial Day, we remember and honor the heroes who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

The red poppy stands as a symbol of sacrifice, remembrance, and gratitude for those who fought to protect our freedoms.

At Home Health & Hospice, we hold close the importance of honoring lives, cherishing memories, and supporting families through every season of life. Today, we pause to reflect on the courage and sacrifice of our fallen service members.

May we never forget those who gave everything for our nation.

This National Nurses Week, we are honored to celebrate the incredible nurses of Home Health & Hospice, a division of Chadron Hospital, who provide comfort, compassion, dignity, and care through some of life’s most meaningful moments. 💙

One of our own nurses, Nichole Hoesing, RN, recently reflected on her journey in hospice nursing by comparing it to a patchwork quilt — each piece representing a patient, family member, coworker, memory, or experience that has shaped her career.

As Nichole shared:

“It’s an honor to be permitted into a person’s life, especially at the end when it is such a vulnerable, intimate and sacred time.”

She went on to describe how some pieces of that quilt are difficult or heartbreaking, while others are joyful, beautiful, and deeply rewarding. Together, they create a career filled with purpose, compassion, and service to others.

“Yes, some memories are definitely tattered, difficult, or sad; but when sewn together with the beautiful, happy, and rewarding ‘blocks,’ they complete a breathtaking and unique quilt.”

At Home Health & Hospice, we are committed to providing excellence in healthcare by promoting health and well-being while fostering a workplace where employees excel and take pride in serving others. Our nurses live out that mission every day through the compassionate, high-quality care they provide to patients and families throughout our communities.
