🎡 What a wonderful day at Senior Day at the Champaign County Fair Urbana IL!

We loved connecting with older adults, families, and members of our community while sharing how SYNERGY HomeCare helps people remain safe, independent, and comfortable wherever they call home.

Events like Senior Day are a great reminder that staying independent isn't just about receiving help when it's needed. It's also about staying socially connected, learning about available resources, and planning ahead before challenges arise. Knowing what support is available can make all the difference for seniors and their families.

This is My Why. 💜

"When my partner and I first started dating in 2015, I got to see what family turned caregiver looked like as he cared for his mom while she battled stage 4 colon cancer. Day after day, I saw their relationship shift from a mother/son relationship and more into a caregiving relationship. I wish I would have known about SYNERGY then to have been able to get the support and care necessary so they could have continued their mother/son relationship through her hospice journey.

My why is very personal to me and one of the key services we offer that I share with every client family member. SYNERGY is able to help take on the caregiving responsibilities while families can remain family and continue to make solid memories; I am fulfilled by knowing that I get to play a part in that."

This is My Why. 💜

"My why has always been caring for others. Before taking a role in the SYNERGY office, I cared for individuals with disabilities, helped care for my grandparents, and was a SYNERGY caregiver for a man named Dale who was living with Alzheimer's. Those experiences showed me the incredible impact compassionate care has on both clients and their families. Although my role has changed over the years, my purpose hasn’t, I now get to support our caregivers, clients, and teams on a larger scale, knowing that the work we do every day helps people remain safe, independent, and cared for at home."

We enjoyed another wonderful monthly breakfast with our resource partners at Sugar Creek Alzheimer's Special Care Center. It's always a great opportunity to share information about community events, program offerings, facility updates, and new resources that can benefit the families we serve.

When healthcare providers stay connected, families have an easier time navigating the many care options available to them. Working together helps ensure seniors receive the right support at the right time, wherever they call home.
