2026 marks a significant year of growth for Owens Funeral Home. Earlier this year, we proudly welcomed the fifth generation of funeral directors to our staff. Today, we are equally honored to announce that we now serve families from three locations: Champaign, Mahomet, and our newest facility in Monticello.
Over the past six months, we have worked closely with Mike Wright of Mackey-Wright Funeral Home to ensure a smooth and thoughtful transition in ownership. Mike will continue to assist with services for the foreseeable future, helping provide continuity for the families and community members who know and trust him. Under new ownership, our commitment remains the same: to honor every family with the compassionate, personalized care the Monticello community has come to expect.
We are grateful for the opportunity to serve Monticello and the surrounding area, and we look forward to supporting the community’s needs at Mackey-Wright Funeral & Cremation Services.
