Today is the Grand Opening of
Somavida Pain Relief at 2130 Green Bay Rd. Evanston, IL
It began 20 years ago when Sarah Lashley's husband had jaw pain so bad she had to puree food for him. She discovered trigger point therapy could help and went to massage school and then began Somavida Bodywork in 2010.

In 2016, 10 years ago she expanded into
Somavida Pain Relief Center and hired her first employee after realizing she could only help 20 people a week. Over the last 10 years they have expanding to a team of 7 and now have space to add more therapists and a training room to become a hub for Precision Neuromuscular Therapy Seminars.

The new Somavida will be hosting 3-4 seminars a year to start, but plans to host more including a TMJ Intensive Level 2 to come by 2028.

Say hello (and congratulations 🎉) to newly certified Precision NMT therapist Blaise Filippini!

Blaise completed all the core series of Precision NMT seminars, the research literacy course and a case study on the effects of PNMT on anterior pelvic tilt.

Mid-scapular pain is a very common complain for a lot of our clients. Pin pointing where the pain is coming from can be hard with lots of different structures between the scapula. Pincer grasp can be a great technique to help differentiate tissue between the scapula.

This video demonstrates a great way to treat the lower trapezius which often gets overlooked when it comes to pain between the shoulder blades.
